Have I travelled to France? – Bastille Day event at Brasserie Zedel

I went along to Brasserie Zedel to celebrate Bastille Day 14 July for the first time ever and I felt like I had been transported in a flash over to France with all the many people that were dressed in French attire from their striped Breton tops to berets and moustaches. Reason why everyone had dressed up was not just to celebrate the fact that is was Bastille Day but also all of us whom had dressed up and dawned our beret each received a three course meal with wine & coffee.

Brasserie Zedel served up on the night

Céleri Rémoulade

Confit de Canard ou Truite de Mer Grillée

Ile Flottante

Verre de Vin Maison Eau, Café

Celebrate French style with a complimentary meal!

The night was fun and made me feel like speaking French, if only I knew how.  The atmosphere and evening was fun and the food was great even though we got it for free.

Bastille Day is the common name given in English-speaking countries/lands to the French National Day, which is celebrated on the 14th of July each year. In France, it is formally called la Fête nationale.
