Discovering Future Forest – Bompas and Parr

Bompas & Parr in summer 2017 held a unique event in both Westfield Centres in London called the Future Forest for a short run.  The event was also completely free in both centres to attend with no pre-booking required. Future Forest was all about exploring the relationship between humans and nature through a very fun and adventurous way.

Bompas & Parr: Future Forest in Shepherds Bush

I went along to the Future Forest one that was held in Shepherds Bush running from 15-28 August 2017. There was a fantastical fruit cloud, a mini exhibition showcasing plants that Continue reading

Food glorious food – Foodies Festival at Alexandra Palace

I have visited many food shows before in the past but this was my first time in attending a Foodies Festival. First impressions was that the event was quite small and nowhere as big as other food shows I have been to in the past as because this one I managed to get around the whole show area within 30 minutes and with that in mind I don’t know how people can try and spend the whole day there without getting a bit bored but I suppose the only way you could extend your time without getting bored is by attending a number Continue reading

Let’s get snap happy in water – FujiFilm Camera ‘FinePix XP120’

I have never owned a waterproof camera or a FujiFilm camera so this was a challenge and a first for me.  I was thrilled when I was loaned one of their waterproof cameras the FinePix XP120 to test. Why did I get one to test? well that is because I needed a waterproof camera for several events that I was holding for bloggers from the community of Love Pop Ups – London as both are water based events (HotTug UK and Thames Rocket).  So I thought with me a blogger and others what a great way for us to try out and test a Fujifilm camera whilst giving some publicity.  Bear in mind though I usually don’t blog about gadgets I usually blog about restaurant’s, food, events and shows not gadgets. Chucky movies are true classics and never goes out of style! and FrightFest is the first to show Chucky’s latest movie Cult of Chucky.

My Good Guy friend Steve “friends to the end” took me along to see the World Premiere of Cult of Chucky (the seventh instalment to the Chucky franchise) at the opening of FrightFest (24 August 2017) which was shown at Cineworld in Leicester Square, London.

Cult of Chucky – The interviews with the cast

As this was a World Premiere as you can imagine most of the stars of the movie were there being interviewed and snapped on the red carpet. There was the sweet Fiona Dourif who Continue reading

Rub-A-Dub-Dub – HotTug UK

HotTug UK is the first ever wood-fired HotTug company to open up here in England, London.  Tommo and Jack the owners of HotTug UK saw them in Holland and fell in love with them and so with that in mind they had to bring them to London. Each HotTug is hand made in Holland by Frank de Bruijn who is the inventor of the HotTugs.HotTug UK Tommo filling up the hottug

The owl (me) and the pussycats – GoBoat

GoBoat has to be the most fun and the most highly pleasurable experiences that has come about recently in London.  It opened up back in February 2017 in Merchant Square (Paddington) however I only discovered about them via a friend recently.  I am so happy that I did as this has to be one of the best ways to experience the London canals of Paddington, Little Venice and Camden.  Continue reading

Seek, solve, and disarm – Agent November: Rebranded Major X Ploe-Shun

I went along and played Agent November rebranded game Major X Ploe-Shun.  The new story and puzzles are a vast improvement to the original one.  Even though the original one was great this new one has been based on a more modern situation as it would be a disaster for any EMP device to happen which would in turn destroy the connection from all electrical devices such as our phones. How would I live? how would others live without their mobile phones and tech? Continue reading
