No bears allowed – Escape London: The Cabin

Escape London has two locations one in Shadwell and their other in Shepherds Bush. I went along with some other members of Love Pop Ups London to play Escape London’s latest escape room The Cabin which has only been open for three days.

Escape London

Entering Escape London their is a large enough space to wait if you are early and plenty of various puzzles to play with such as the Rubix Cube. So if you are waiting for friends, family or colleagues you won’t be bored. There is also some lockers to store your coats and bags.

The Cabin

The Campers vs the Hunter

Stepping inside The Cabin you’ll learn that whilst you have been tracking London your goods have been stolen by the hunter.  So the race was on to find the hunters cabin to retrieve our goods. However when you get to the hunters cabin you’ll learn more about the hunter and the murders he has committed. So the race was now on to escape The Cabin with all our goods and life’s before the hunter returns.

Escape London The Cabin

If you go down to Shepherds Bush Escape London today you’re sure of a big surprise
If you go down in The Cabin you’d better get ready for a challenge
For every adventurer that has never escaped
Beware today’s the day Love Pop Ups London will make their escape

The first room which is a tent is quite small for a team the size of ours which was 7 people but all the other rooms after that one are a bit larger so don’t panic if you are claustrophobic.  Every room is decorated really well giving you the feeling that you are actually out in the woods somewhere camping and a chilling feeling. The puzzles are all brilliantly thought out and very in keeping with the whole game. There are so many different types from logical thinking ones through to physical ones. However the beauty with this game is that the puzzles do not need to be done or solved in a certain order. There was also plenty dotted around everywhere so everyone could potentially solve one or two on their own.

We escaped around the 30 minute mark making us the fastest people to escape The Cabin so far.  The only reason why we escaped so quickly though was because most of my team members on the night are experts at escape rooms. Let’s put it this way one of them has done over 40 escape rooms. Like all escape rooms if you complete it within 60 minutes you have you photo taken and it was lovely to see Escape London had many prop cards to use to make our photo more fun.

Verdict

So no matter if you are a new escape room adventurer or an expert everyone will love this room for it’s decor, atmosphere and fun puzzles.  However I do recommend that you if you do go along to play go along with around 4 people only as a I feel 7 people which is the maximum size you can have in this escape room is far too many as the rooms are quite small.
