A look back at March 2018 – Community fun

This article is a look back at the amazing experiences which various community members of Love Pop Ups London enjoyed and helped spread the word about during March 2018.

March 2018 a look back

Modern Fables

Modern Fables is set in an old warehouse practically in the middle of nowhere.  Upon entering the warehouse you will learn about Lavinia and her family secrets.  Through the dark eerie damp demonic rooms with just 60 minutes counting down the question was what happened to Lavinia and will we escape in time with our souls.

Modern Fables the gang

“The room sets and design fit the room theme of horror fiction, in a creepy, low-light manner. There were a variety of different elements including riddles, searching and locks. Those who like cryptic crosswords will definitely enjoy this room as key clues are located in the riddles and you need to really understand the details to figure out the next steps.”

Faulty Towers

If you loved the 1970’s sitcom Fawlty Towers then you will love this interactive dining experience which is a tribute to the sitcom. Throughout the night there are gags a-plenty with a shambolic service as Basil, Sybil and Manuel try to serve up a ‘70s-style 3-course meal along with a good dollop of mayhem. So be sure to expect the unexpected as like in Fawlty Towers the service never goes quite right!

Faulty Towers Sybil and me

“I can hardly express how highly I rate Faulty Towers The Dining Experience! An extremely clever concept which combines dinner and outstanding theatre into one great evening. The cast have clearly worked hard to master the individual characters as well as they have, and the improvisation and interaction with guests showcases their extraordinary talent even further.”

ABQ London

Yo!, if you love making cocktails and love the show Breaking Bad (but not essential) then you will love this themed cocktail bar in where you can cook up some cocktails.  With so many cocktails to choose from (you can make two on the night) your mind will be blown.  Will you cook up an ABQ Brekkie or will you want to create some lines for a Blow. Whichever cocktail you decide to make you will be leaving on a high.

ABQ 2018 crew

“Fantastic evening of ‘cooking’ cocktails at ABQ London. Everything from the Breaking Bad RV Van, to the decor inside to being led through how to make cocktails to the kick ass Hip Hop music was ace. Thoroughly recommend the experience with a big group of mates.”

Revolution by Exit Productions

For anyone that loves playing Risk then you would of loved Revolution.  This immersive theatrical game Involved tactical thinking, communication and team work.  People were split into factions on the night and was tasked with certain objectives throughout the night such as:

which London boroughs to take over, attack or defend?
will you be able to bluff your allies?
what would make London better?

Unfortunately this is no longer showing at the Vaults Festival but will be returning again in the future sometime.

Exit Productions: Revolution us

“The aim of the game is to overthrow the government then lead London by out manoeuvrering the other teams on a giant map of London split in to Boroughs. A fast paced, clever game which involves teamwork and tactics!”

“I love an escape room with a good theme and this theme was pure genius! In order to succeed you had to find your missing items which were stolen while you were in the woods and reach the cabin!! I loved the tent and all the decoration, it really did let me imagine that I was really in that situation.”
