Us pirates rule – Escape London: Escape the Seven Seas

Escape London has two locations one in Shadwell and their other in Shepherds Bush. I went along with some other community members of Love Pop Ups London to play Escape London Escape the Seven Seas.

Escape London

Escape London run various escape rooms:

  • Witchcraft and Wizardry
  • Area 51
  • The Da Vinci Room
  • The Taken Room
  • Escape the Seven Seas
  • The Cabin

All of which require solving puzzles and clues. Break the codes and find the keys to release yourself to freedom from any of their escape rooms.

Each of their locations has a large enough space to wait in. So if you are early you can keep yourself amused with the plenty of challenging mini puzzles such as the Rubix Cube to play with. So if you are waiting for friends, family or colleagues or for your time slot you won’t get bored. There is also some lockers to store your coats and bags in whilst you are locked in a room.

Escape the Seven Seas

Dawning my Jolly Roger (skull and cross bones) t-shirt I and my crew of buccanneer’s (pirate’s) entered the ships brig (escape room) and were immediately shoved into the ships cells.  It was no time for us though to take a Caulk (nap) in the cell as I and my buccanneer’s just had 60 minutes to escape and break into the Captains chamber to plunder (steal) his booty (treasure) as glory and riches await.

The whole area is so well decorated from the cells to the Captains chamber with so many nautical objects lying around such as empty bottles of grog (drink), spy glasses and ropes making it feel like a real pirate’s ship. There is even a decent variety of puzzles which, while not massively original, did at least fit well with the theme and were a whole lot of fun.  Without giving too much away I in particular loved solving along with my buccaneer’s the journey notes that corresponded to a large map which led us to a code that opened up the coffer (treasure chest). Only thing that was missing.

Result

We retrieved the Captain’s booty within just 46 minutes but then we are old salts as escape rooms.  Anyway that is what I call team work so it was Yo Ho Ho (cheering) and a bottle of rum, well I wish!

Escape the Seven Seas

Verdict

This was a great game and was fall of fun puzzles. I highly recommend this escape game if you love anything related to pirates and treasure.

“Not all treasure’s silver and gold as
Escape London Escape the Seven Seas is a gem in itself.”

However if you do decide to swashbuckle (engage) the ship of Escape the Seven Seas then I do suggest not bringing more than four crew members with you as the ships rooms are quite small so at times with there being six of us it was quite hard to move around.

Thanks to Escape London for letting us come down to swashbuckle through Escape the Seven Seas. We of Love Pop Ups London community loved it. This was a complimentary experience but all views are my own honest opinion.
