Fit not just for Royalty – Choc on Choc

I love chocolate and I can’t get enough of it so when I had the pleasure in sampling some unique chocolate creations by Choc on Choc I jumped to the chance.

I opted for a selection of Choc on Choc unique Royal Wedding chocolate gift sets to celebrate HRH Prince Harry and Meghan upcoming nuptials and I chose to also try the retro lollies as Summer is here and the sun is out. Firstly though let me tell you a bit more about who Choc on Choc who they are and how they started out.

Choc on Choc

About Choc on Choc

A father and daughter team started back out in 2003 in a village near Bath which is located in the UK. Kerr Dunlop and his daughter Flo Broughton originally made some rubber noughts and crosses moulds thinking that that they would make rather nice presents for the family.  The pair of them then devised a business idea and soon they made enough chocolates to take to a trade show. To their astonishment, they came back from the show with a lot of orders from several shops. From then on Choc on Choc has grew and became ever increasingly popular with their original chocolate concept which is chocolate layered on top of chocolate which creates beautiful and unique designs. They are still based in Bath but ever since growing and producing 63,000+ chocolates a week it has moved to bigger premises with a fully functioning team. Kerr still though makes the chocolate moulds in ‘his shed’ while Flo runs the business, they design the chocolates together. Even though the business has grown, they still make all their chocolate by hand along with other trained staff.

They sell various high quality Belgian chocolate all which are hand crafted and original.  Some of the more popular chocolate gift box sets that they sell are of shoes and handbags.  However they also still sell their original noughts and crosses ‘Love and Kisses’ product which made them whom they are today. Their chocolate can be bought on-line and from over one of the 200 retailers which are situated all over the world from boutique shops to well known department stores such as John Lewis and Selfridges.

Look, Smell, Taste

Anyway I was not going to scoff them down as these chocolates are fit for royalty after all so I took my time in looking, tasting and eating them.

All good chocolate should have a smooth surface, be free from air-bubbles and free from any cracks and pale streaks of unmixed cocoa butter. Choc on Choc chocolate met all the requirements.

Before eating any chocolate it is always advised not to eat or drink anything strong flavour wise beforehand otherwise it could impair taste of your chocolate. To cleanse your palate eat something neutral or drink some water to reset your palate.

It is said you should always rub chocolate with your fingers three to four times before eating to release the aromas which will help prepare your taste buds for the flavour to come.

When it comes to eating just nibble on a small piece and let it melt in the mouth for at least six seconds before chewing.  Whilst keeping your mouth closed breath in through your nose this will empower all of your senses and give any chocolate lover the most pleasure.

I certainly felt very indulged after eating the creamy chocolate and certainly satisfied my craving for chocolate for a while. I say a while as I am a chocoholic so I am always craving chocolate.

Fit not just for royalty

All the products I did receive were all so unique in design and certainly made them feel more special from any other chocolate.  It is hard to say which was my favourite as they are all so unique, different and special.

Check out their website (https://www.choconchoc.co.uk) to see all of their other ranges.

I highly recommend to anyone who loves chocolates and looking for that something a little special be it for yourself, friend or even a loved one.

Thanks to Choc on Choc for letting me a chocoholic have the opportunity to munch on some of your specially designed royal chocolates and non melting ice lollies.  The chocolate was given to me on a complimentary experience but all views are my own honest opinion.
