The History of Gin, According to Cocktails – Ford’s Gin

This is an absolute must-go to event for any gin lover.

Ford’s Gin – The History of Gin

Two full gourmet cocktails, four generous cocktail samples, fascinating tasting tour of gin cocktails throughout the decades, and all for £10.

Ford's Gin

Ford’s Gin is hosting a “The History of Gin, According to Cocktails” events around the city over the next few months. The cocktails are absolutely delicious and you learn a lot of interesting facts about gin

Ford's Gin

for example, the Tom Collins was invented in London! Who knew?

This lovely, one-hour tasting tour is a perfect way to start an evening.

I had never tried Ford gin before this event and I must say, it is truly the perfect cocktail gin. It is unobtrusive and smooth and goes with both savoury and sweet cocktails. The guide is also phenomenal, very funny, personable and extremely knowledgeable about gin.

Things to know before you go:

  1. SHOW UP ON TIME. This event is only an hour long and is in a very intimate setting. There is a lot of information (and libations) to enjoy so you want to get there on time to make sure you don’t miss anything.
  2. EAT before or plan something to eat right after. It’s a lot of gin in a short amount of time. I came straight from work so I hadn’t eaten yet, so it was straight to a Kebab shop afterwards…

Big thanks to Ford’s Gin for the invite to the launch night.  This was a complimentary experience but all views are my own honest opinion.

Thank you to Ford’s Gin letting me and others from the community of Love Pop Ups London come along to learn the History of Gin held at various bars in London.  The experiences were complimentary from Ford’s Gin but all views are of our own honest opinions.
