Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is an acronym for science training and tactical intelligence operative network. I stepped within inside this brand new exhibition before the public as I attended the press night.
Guests who enter Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. will become part of the marvel cinematic universe story line, where superhero fans will be able to try lifting Thor’s hammer or taking a sneak peak into Bruce banner’s lab.
Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.
Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is a highly anticipated multi-room immersive experience which will offer fans of all ages the opportunity to delve into the super-workings and back-story of each of the Avengers as they train to become an agent of the S.T.A.T.I.O.N. as part of their training. Fans will also get to gaze upon props and uniforms straight from the big screen.
Who are the Avengers?
They are a team of superheroes assembled by Nick Fury and the intelligence agency S.H.I.E.L.D. through the Avengers Initiative.
The team currently consists of Captain America, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, Vision and Falcon. The original team consisted of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye in The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, and shifted when Tony Stark, Thor, Clint Barton and Bruce Banner/Hulk left the team after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. They were initially brought together by S.H.I.E.L.D. to combat Loki, Thor’s adoptive brother. The team was initially formed by Nick Fury to “fight the battles that S.H.I.E.L.D. never could”.
Adventuring through a marvel of Superheroes
Adventuring through this new superhero immersive exhibition I got to meet learn and discover about many superhero characters which I never knew existed.
However the best parts for me whilst adventuring through Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. has to be
- Thor’s observatory which is dedicated to Thor Odinson, King of Asgard and Son of Odin. I even got to test my worthiness by attempting to lift Thor’s hammer, gaze at Thor’s outfits, Mjolnir and study the universe and its current parameters using Nasa’s Eye.
- Getting to pretend to be Captain America by standing behind a replica of his shield, learn more about him and exploring the cutting-edge science which made Steve Rogers into Captain America.
- Iron man engineering bay which I got to have a chance to not only just get up close and personal with Iron Man’s iconic suits of armour but also experienced what a simulated flight inside the suit would be like.
- Learning about Bruce Banners superior brain in how he transforms into the Hulk.
Plus a special moment has to be when I got to see a world first, of seeing Black Panther, the Wasp and Thanos superhero uniforms.
Pow, bang, wallop
This was an interesting exhibition and I did like seeing many of the awesome suits worn by top superheros like Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther etc but to be totally honest I prefer superheros such as Superman and Batman.
However still very interesting if you love Avengers but be warned this is not a huge exhibition, there are not that many immersive features and there is far too much too read about each superhero. Also it was quite hard to take photos within this exhibition due to the reflection of the screens bouncing off the glass which displayed the suits and props of the superheros of the silver screen.
