I had the joy of attending a private special masterclass at Baileys Treat Bar the other night along with some other fellow TimeOut Tastemakers. Tastemakers is a club that I belong to through TimeOut on occasions throughout the year there are opportunities to join this club if you are a an avid reviewer, blogger or Instagrammer.
Baileys History
Baileys began back in 1974 in Dublin. David the godfather of Baileys, had a vision for something new, something unapologetically luxurious. Working alongside a passionate team of technical experts he began his mission and created a Baileys recipe which is a delicious blend of two of Ireland’s greatest ingredients rich dairy cream and their finest Whiskey.
After years of perfecting, Baileys became the world’s first cream liqueur. Over the last 40 years they now cover over three quarters of the world and Baileys is sold in over 150 countries. However be assured as every single bottle of Baileys Original Irish Cream is made in Ireland.

Baileys Treat Bar
Do You Hear What I Hear? Sounds Of Baileys Being Served
Baileys Treat Bar popped up last year which I sadly never knew about but luckily it has popped up again this year for it’s second year. They are selling deliciously festive Bailey indulgence drinks giving drinkers a mouth wateringly-decadent treat.
You’ll be able to let your imagination run wild and design your own sumptuous lattes and hot chocolate cocktails creating something completely bespoke ‘made by you’! or choose from their carefully curated drinks, ‘made by them’. Either way, you will enjoy the most picture-perfect, delicious Baileys creations. Plus they also sell vegan drinks.
Timeout Tastemaker Masterclass

Once I saw Baileys Treat Bar I knew I was in for a treat.
Tables were laid out with everything that a mixologist needs to make a perfect cocktail from a bucket of ice to a cocktail shaker.
After an introduction from one of Baileys mixologist it was time to get tasting, making and shaking.
Firstly we sampled three types of Baileys.
Baileys Original Irish Cream
Aged Irish Whiskey woven with fresh Irish dairy cream, with a hint of cocoa and vanilla, using only the finest ingredients in their original Irish cream liqueur.
The Whiskey complements the full, richness of the fresh Irish dairy cream, cocoa and heavenly vanilla that all go into their secret recipe.
Baileys Chocolat Luxe
A blend of decadent Belgian chocolate and Baileys Original Irish Cream.
Chocolat Luxe is truly indulgent and completely unforgettable with it’s fusion of luxurious Belgian chocolate, Irish Whiskey and cream which is a molten chocolate pleasure.
Baileys Almande
New Baileys Almande is an alcoholic almond drink which blend sweet almond oil and almond essence, cane sugar and purified water with a touch of real vanilla together. Baileys Almande is dairy-free and vegan-friendly.
This alcoholic vegan milk, creamy drink along with a hint of almond flavour is pure naughtiness.
Shaken Not Stirred
Onto the class.
The first cocktail we got to make was a Baileys Salted Caramel Espresso Martini. Was creamy, sweet and very indulgent.
Naughty or nice well the second and last cocktail of the night sure was. We were presented with a chocolate reindeer each instead of a glass. Not only did this reindeer look ever so festive after we had finished with it with straws for antlers and cream for his head of hair but wow he sure did taste bliss from the creamy Baileys through to the very luxury creamy milk Belgian chocolate. Also whilst enjoying our final drink of the night getting chocolate all over our hands time for a quick selfie with my bestie Steve (@never_fear_new) in one of their selfie booths.

Plus a photo with my friend Jane (@eyewanderlondon).

It was then the end of the masterclass and time for us to “fa la la la la” on out as I and some others were all merrily on high by now.
