This article is a look back at the amazing experiences which various community members of Love Pop Ups London enjoyed and helped spread the word about during June 2019 on complimentary basis.
June 2019 a look back
Aperol Spritz
Do you love Aperol Spritz then you will be disappointed to hear that they held a pop up within June which just lasted a few days to celebrate 100 years in Shoreditch’s Electric Light Station.
There was a pool, hot tugs, a flowing orange waterfall and even a giant Aperol Spritz glass shaped ball pit! On top of all that there was even the UK’s first ever revolving Aperol carousel bar. So much fun but keep your eyes and ears peeled as it will be returning for another run next years.

“Sat underneath the waterfall we enjoyed the cool mist while watching everyone enjoying themselves in the pool. Not satisfied with just this, we went over to cars decked out as hot tubs, grabbed our orange towels and took a dip. Not skipping a beat, we picked up another Aperol Spritz at the floating bar and responsibly enjoyed our drinks in the hot tub.”

We were taken on a story telling adventure with Mole, Ratty, Toad and Badger on a farm within London as we indulged on a supper fit for any Toad of Toad Hall whilst laughing along to the antics of Toad and his friends.
Food and theatre collide in Scripts for Supper, where the actors double up as waiters and the food brings you into the world of the play.

“Five actors leapt into their roles as Toad, Mole, Rat, Badger and ‘Narrator/Musician with aplomb, mysticism, adventure, morality, and camaraderie, key themes that ran throughout the play’s narrative, its evocation of the nature of the Thames Valley arguably celebratory, given its unconventional surroundings.”

“For my mains I had the Seafood Alleppey Curry which consisted of pan seared seafood, coconut and turmeric sauce. The turmeric gave that hint of spiciness but all components of this dish worked beautifully together. The seafood was all cooked to perfection with the squid being firm but not too chewy, the razor clam was full of flavour, the fish succulent, and the prawn sweet and meaty. A curry and seafood lovers dream. ”
