Kidnap rescue underway
Taking on mission Print + Cut + Escape with a group of super Agents of Love Pop Ups London we soon got underway from the comfort of our own home to rescue Agent Lisa Hammersmith who had been kidnapped.
She had discovered Professor Blacksheep’s evil plan whom of which has secretly been kidnapping top scientists, and forcing them to join his attempts at world domination for some time. Agent Hammersmith though unfortunately got herself captured, but in one final act of courage she was able to transfer her files to HQ before being taken prisoner. Our mission was to decode Agent Hammersmith’s secret messages, to find and free her. Together it was our mission to stop Professor Blacksheep in his tracks, and bring our her home.

Firstly before starting our mission to rescue Agent List I and some other Agents who were in different households printed out all the PDF file which is 24 pages in total to help us solve the puzzles and codes required to help rescue Agent Lisa from the evil Professor Blacksheep. Be warned there is lots of cutting out to be had so give yourself over 20 minutes before you start your mission. However one of my agents did not have a printer to print out the mission in hand which proved a problem later for her to get involved in some of the tasks.
Once printed we were ready to rescue Agent Lisa.

Using Zoom we soon got cracking on with the puzzles which had to be done in a set order which the index helped keep us on track. Most of the puzzles were quite complex and most came with many small pieces, so it became quite difficult to put together when I had such small table area to work with plus the Agent who could not print out the mission at home could not get involved most of the time so she just had to watch as we had our heads bowed and scrambling pieces of paper together. After 1 hour and 10 minutes of solving puzzles and code cracking we eventually rescued Agent Lisa from the evil Professor Blacksheep.
Verdict
Firstly I must state I loved how this play at home mission kept in keeping with clueQuest’s theme of working with Mr Q’s secret agent network fighting against Professor Blacksheep and his evil plans.
Print + Cut + Escape is a very hands on game with so many pieces of paper to put together to gather clues or codes which was fun but at same time I felt could of easily been provided online and this way would of save on paper and everyone could of then got involved easily. Each puzzle very different and some were quite challenging and the clue system was a blessing as when we needed it. I particularly loved the face generator task but this involved lots of pieces of paper to scramble through to find the right forehead, eye, nose, mouth and chin and as of lack of table space it was a bit tricky without having pieces of paper full of my table.
I would recommend this mission by clueQuest but I would find it better if the whole mission could be played online rather than having to print anything out. Plus I used Zoom to play the game and after 45 minutes if you haven’t a premium package with Zoom then the meeting area will cut off so be warned.
