TAILS Cocktails there’s always time for cocktails at home

I love cocktails and I am missing not being able to enjoy one, two or three within a London cocktail bar so these cocktails made by mixologists in a bottle by TAILS Cocktails are a life saver during lock down due to Covid-19.

I was gifted a bottle of their Pornstar Martini and Espresso Martini courtesy of TAILS Cocktails to enjoy at home.

Established in London 2010, Nick Wall founded TAILS Cocktails with a vision to make high-quality cocktails more accessible to a wider audience of cocktail lovers.

All their cocktails are come within 1L bottles (gives approx. 8 glasses) and are made using premium spirits and liqueurs, which are blended with only natural flavours, juices and infusions.

Batching cocktails is an extremely sustainable method as it significantly reduces wastage. Plus Tails also uses no perishable goods in their cocktails which results in zero waste. Their glass bottles are the lightest on the market, coming in at a meer 398 grams and made with 90% recycled glass. On top of that, all of their Packaging is 100% recyclable. Plus every single packaging material used by TAILS Cocktails is also sourced within a 50 mile radius of their primary production location to make sure they are keeping all transportation to a minimum.

My two favourite cocktails are a Pornstar Martini and Espresso Martini so with that in mind these are the cocktails I received from TAILS Cocktails to enjoy at home.

Pornstar Martini

Just looking at the colour of the Pornstar Martini already made me start thinking on sunny days with it’s bright orange and once opening the bottle I was immediately hit by the sweet smell of passionfruit.

After shaking 125ml with some ice vigorously in a shaker as suggested I poured into a martini glass and it came out looking exactly like a professional cocktail which you would get served in a bar, perfection. Pity I did not have Prosecco to enjoy along with it but nerveless this cocktail was very pleasing with a sweet vanilla vodka balanced out by the sharpness of the passion fruit.

The cocktail is made with 42Below Vodka, Vanilla, Passion Fruit Liqueur, Passion Fruit Juice and Lime Juice.

Here is an interesting fact I also learned via TAILS Cocktail website and that is that Douglas Ankrah was the creator of the first ever Pornstar Martini and this cocktail was originally called a Maverick Martini. Why? as it was named after a shady club in Capetown, South Africa. Later he then renamed it to the Pornstar Martini to express the passion he put into creating this drink.

Espresso Martini

The Espresso Martini has a deep luscious brown colour. Upon opening the bottle I was immediately hit by the smell of coffee.

After shaking 125ml with some ice vigorously in a shaker as suggested I poured it into a martini glass and it came out looking exactly like a professional cocktail which you would get served in a bar, with a lovely layer of frothiness. With the sumptuous mix of vodka, coffee liqueur and espresso I was hit with a rich, indulgent and creamy flavour, and a hit of espresso which will certainly liven you up.

Here is an interesting fact I also learned via TAILS Cocktail website is that it is believed that Dick Bradsell created this cocktail back in 1983 within Brasserie Soho in London as to please a woman whom asked for something that would wake her up, and f*** her up.

Cocktail heaven

Both cocktails looked and tasted amazing and with each coming in 1L bottles you can enjoy approx. 8 glasses from each.
