Just grab your chosen meal from the freezer and cook from frozen, no need to the defrost!

Courtesy of Noble House Prepared I was gifted some of their tasty, fresh, and comforting meals to enjoy at home.

Mealtimes made easy

Noble House Prepared has a very clear and easy to navigate website in which I found everything easily from mains to desserts. There was so much choice but as I am a lover of fish dishes I opted from the mains Loch Duart Scottish Salmon Wellington and Salmon, Cod and Smoked Haddock Fish Pie with Cheddar Mash. For the sides Broccoli Florets and French Green Beans and Dauphinoise Potatoes. For desserts as I love anything chocolate it had to be their British Cheesecake with Salted Chocolate and Intense Chocolate Pot with Cream and Lime. I received a £40 voucher to use hence why I chose two nights worth of meals as with any order made via Noble House Prepared has to have a minimum order of £40. All orders take around 2-3 working days to arrive and will be delivered by DPD. Take note though when ordering they only deliver from Tuesday to Friday. If you want a Saturday delivery it will be an extra cost.

Upon receiving them I was impressed by how it was packed. It came wrapped within natural high-performing insulator wool and ice packs helping keep it cool on its journey to you. It is recommend upon receiving to store all meals straightaway into the freezer. However when I received mine they were slightly defrosted so if this happens to you it is advised not to place in freezer but the fridge instead as re-freezing could change the taste. So I placed in my fridge as guided and used within 48 hours. Plus if you do cook meals which are not from the freezer anymore as defrosted it is worth remembering to alter the cooking time as it won’t need as long as if it was frozen.

All the meals came wrapped in cardboard packaging with easy clear instructions on how to store and cook and the food within plastic dishes which can be placed in the oven making cooking very easy, just take out from freezer when ready to cook, pop into preheated oven, cook for the required time and then serve.

Meal time for two part 1

For my first taste of Noble House Prepared I chose to pop into my oven their fish pie, enjoy their vegetables as a side and for afters their cheesecake.

Taking off the plastic and popping the Salmon, Cod and Smoked Haddock Fish Pie with Cheddar Mash I was excited as it looked so fresh and I love fish. Placing in a preheated oven at 180C (fan) for 45 minutes I could not wait.

“Fish pie is a beautifully warming supper, baked with salmon, cod and smoked haddock in a rich white sauce. We make sure every pie is packed with generously large and chunky pieces of fish. The pie is topped with our buttery mash and finished with peas, a topping of cheese and fresh herbs.”

Head Chef Owen

Upon taking it out of the oven it was crisp and smelt amazing. It was packed with salmon, cod and smoked haddock, even peas all within a lovely rich creamy white sauce and topped with aged cheddar mashed potato. I was highly surprised how fresh the fish tasted and how creamy the pie was it was so fresh if I had not cooked it I would of never believed it was a ready made meal which had been cooked from frozen. A real fish delight.

For sides I served with Broccoli Florets and French Beans. Looking green and super fresh I could not wait to try. This dish though is recommended to cooked in the microwave as ovens can dry out vegetables. So according to the instructions leaving the film on I popped it into the microwave for 3 minutes then stirred and cooked for a further minute.

The broccoli, and green beans came out nicely steamed and still held the bright green colour. The vegetables were fresh and tasty.

For dessert I opted for their British Cheesecake with Salted Chocolate which I could not wait to tuck into as I love chocolate and salted caramel. No cooking required just thaw. Defrost 1 hour at room temperature or for 4 hours in the fridge.

“Our cheesecake is a no-bake version, which is a traditional way of making the cheesecake in the UK- hence our British Cheesecake! Adding salt to the caramel along with some delicious 70% dark chocolate is a revelation; this, paired with our whipped cheesecake mix and biscuit base, is a match made in London!”

Head Chef Owen

This cheesecake was creamy with a crumbly buttery biscuit base which was topped with a very delicious salted caramel sauce. Just heavenly, salty, and creamy.

Meal time for two part 2

For my second mealtime I chose to cook their salmon wellington, dauphinoise potato and for dessert their chocolate pot.

Their Loch Durat Scottish Salmon Wellington looked amazing even before cooking, big and plump I was excited. Popping into a preheated oven 180C (fan) after 50 minutes I had two lovely golden brown wellingtons ready to be eaten.

“This is a fantastic dish to share. We used to make and serve this dish using a whole side of salmon to carve and serve table-side. We’ve kept the recipe the same, just made it for two!

Head Chef Owen

Their Salmon Wellington was luxurious. The farmed Scottish salmon tasted so fresh and flaked away beautifully encased with the creamy spinach and flaky golden buttery pastry. So fresh, so tasty and so filling.

For sides I served with the wellington a portion of Noble House Prepared Dauphinoise Potatoes. Just takes 45 minutes to cook in a preheated oven 180C (fan).

This classic dish was so gorgeous, so tasty with layers of thinly sliced potato all of which was coated in a lovely creamy white sauce and topped with tasty grated cheese giving it that added flavour. A real delight.

For dessert I chose their Intense Chocolate Pot with Cream and Lime. Just needed defrosting for 1 hour at room temperature or 4 hours in the fridge.

This chocolate pot was a true chocolate delight as it is made from 70% Belgian dark chocolate resulting in a rich and intense hit and the topped cream helped cut the richness from time to time along with the zesty sprinkle of the lime. A chocoholic dream.

Verdict

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I don’t usually like frozen ready made meals as I feel it lacks taste but Noble House Prepared is so different as their meals are all delicious, fresh and packed with flavour, which really did surprise me as most frozen foods do not meet those standards. The only little quibble for for me was that most of their cooked meals contain dill which I am not that keen on so even though I loved the meals I had I could taste the dill slightly. However I did still love the meals I had as they were packed with flavour so I would definitely order from them in the future. Plus they are easy to cook and makes it a real treat and time saving when I just want to be lazy or if I am feeling poorly it is a easy meal for which my husband then could easily cook and prepare for us both, just pop it in the oven, cook, serve how easy is that.

I recommend buying Noble House Food because sometimes life gets hectic! Be it coming home from work late, or parenting chores or a combo of both, sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day. So by having Noble House Prepared meals in your freezer is a real convenience. Just take out from the freezer, cook, and serve.

Noble House Prepared meals are time saving, convenient, easy to cook and full of flavour!
