Have you ever gone along to a party and felt a little left out as you can’t join in with your friends and family and enjoy a nice refreshing cocktail as you are driving or just can’t drink alcohol? Well now thanks to Savyll you to now can sip and enjoy a refreshing tasty non alcoholic cocktail which really does look and taste like the real thing.
A non alcoholic drink is usually known as a virgin cocktail or mocktail and is usually styled around a classic cocktail except without the alcohol. Non alcoholic drinks have been around for decades and used to be known as Temperance Drinks. The first mention of mocktail came about in America 1916.
Evolving over time the 1980s saw the resurgence of a mocktail movement with sugary drinks. Following the sophistication of cocktail culture of the 2000s, the zero proof drink became more refined.
With mocktails becoming more and more popular, as many people are swinging away from alcohol they can now often be found on cocktail menus within restaurants and bars. Plus many supermarkets also sell mocktails within bottles and cans.
Did you know that mocktails are are crafted using more or less the same combinations of sodas, juices, herbs, and syrups to create a refreshing mocktail, just minus the alcohol. Mixologists also use the same mixology methods and tools in which they would use when making a regular cocktail.
I was kindly gifted courtesy of Savyll their two great gift packs the Simplicity Tasting Pack and Bon Vivant Tasting Pack.

Thanks to Savyll non alcoholic drinks you now can enjoy a drink whilst out be it at your friends party or just out and about but the beauty is unlike your friends you won’t have a hangover in the morning.
I got to try their two gift packs. The Simplicity Tasting Pack which came with three canned mocktails and their Bon Vivant Tasting Pack which came with four bottled mocktails.

Simplicity Tasting Pack which contains a Bellini, Gin & Tonic and Mojito.
Bellini by Savyll – Minus the Prosecco is made with carbonated water, vegetable glycerine, concentrated white grape concentrate, concentrated peach juice, lemon juice, natural flavourings and natural extracts.
Serve in a chilled flute.
Did you know that the Bellini comes from Italy, Venice. Founder Giuseppe Cipriani back in 1948 within Harry’s Bar was inspired to mix the region’s fragrant white peaches and world-famous sparkling wine together and with that it became a hit and was called the Giovanni Bellini.
Gives a hit of sweetness thanks to the peaches and a floral notes.
Gin & Tonic by Savyll – Minus the gin this G&T is made with carbonated water, vegetable glycerine, sugar, acid (citric acid), natural flavourings containing quinine, natural extracts.
Serve in a gin glass with ice and garnish with a lemon slice.
Did you know that the Gin & Tonic came about back in 1857. The tonic originally contained high doses of quinine that guarded against malaria. And when mixed with gin it gave a citrus twist, the Brits were left with a drink that both protected them and tasted pretty good.
This non alcohol version gives the perfect fusion of that delicate gin of botanicals and bittersweet tonic notes. Really does taste like a proper gin.
Mojito by Savyll – Minus the rum Savyll Mojito is made with carbonated water, vegetable glycerine, sugar, concentrated lime juice, natural flavourings and natural extracts.
Serve in a highball, load with mint, top with ice and decorate with a slice of lime.
Did you know that the Mojito was introduced in the 16th century by Francis Drake all the way to the novelist Ernest Hemingway who, according to legend, sipped his first Mojito in Havana’s illustrious restaurant, La Bodeguita del Medio.
Was a refreshing drink, with notes of citrus seeping over the palette.
What I loved about this particular pack is that the drinks came within cans making it easier to travel with be it in your handbag or a picnic.

Bon Vivant Tasting Pack which contains a Mojito, Gin & Tonic, Mojito and Paloma Tequila.
The only difference from this pack is that the mocktails came within glass bottles and not cans and there was an additional flavour of the Paloma Tequila.
Paloma Tequila by Savyll – Minus the Tequila is made from carbonated water, vegetable glycerine, sugar, lime juice, concentrated pink grapefruit juice, natural flavourings and natural extracts.
Serve in a highball glass and load with ice.
Did you know that the inspiration for this classic cocktail came from a song La Paloma (The Dove) in which a sailor who was lost at sea sung which then in turn also became a popular Mexican folk song. True or not, the Paloma cocktail is just as famous as the melody, and just as evocative of its Mexican origins. It is made usually with Tequila and packed with citrus and sparkling with soda.
Savyll Paloma Tequila provided a nice clean refreshing sweet and sour drink. The grapefruit really seeps through in taste making my tongue tingle.
Within this pack all the drinks came served in glass bottles making them look elegant and easy to drink from if you did not want to pour into a glass. Just pop in a paper straw and enjoy.
Plus they also sell a Connoisseur Tasting Pack which consists of Moscow Mule, Old Cuban, Spiced Rum & Cola, and their newest drink of Whiskey Sour. I though have not yet tried that pack.
With all Savyll drinks no mixing or adding of soda or tonic water is required as it is all done for you. Drink straight or add ice if you wanted.
Verdict
After enjoying the Savyll mocktails I really have now started to consider and question myself in why do I drink products which contains alcohol when I can drink a much healthier alternative such as Savyll’s drink and the not wake up with a hangover.
Savyll drinks really do taste like the real thing, just minus the alcohol content. They look gorgeous, refreshing, smell amazing and taste exceptional.
However I prefer the drinks from the bottle which seemed slightly better than those from the can. I think this is because like any drink from a can it can give that slight metallic flavour and the drinks which have a little fizz to them did not seem to be as fizzy from the cans.
Anyway all in all I highly recommend these drinks be it to enjoy at home, serve at a party, take with you on a picnic, no matter when or where you drink them you will feel happy and satisfied after each sip. Also their gift packs are ideal gift for anyone.
