Act of God

Love theatre?
Love comedy?
Then you’ll love Act of God.

Set within The Vaults meet God and her devoted angels who can answer some of the deepest questions that have plagued mankind since creation.

In this very alternative Christmas message, An Act of God sees a dissatisfied deity, weary of the original Ten Commandments, delivering a new version: a fresh set of rules for the modern world. This sinfully funny comedy delivers a new meaning to divine intervention as The “One” gives the first and last word on everything mankind has wrought on the planet.

An Act of God or the re telling of the Ten Commandments by Zoey Lyons as a Lesbian version of God. The Vaults is known for its quircky entertainment and this play is no exception! The humour is on point from beginning to end with a lot of current news references which makes it even easier to relate. Overall a good night of theatre! A must watch if you like quircky stories.

“Went to see ‘An Act Of God’ theatre show on Wednesday. I didn’t know what to expect but when Zoe Lyon who played ‘God’ said her first line, me and the crowd instantly started laughing. I’ve seen Zoe briefly on a few TV shows but I seriously didn’t know how funny she was. The show was based on the 10 commandments but the aspect of it was quite different and funny. Both the two angels (Tom Bowen and Matt Tedford) were also funny even though one spoke more during the show than the other. The use of some ‘magic’ during the show also made the show even more enjoyable and excited the crowd. Overall surprisingly a good show!”

“A great night of comedy with Zoe Lyons playing God! It’s not so often that you see a woman headline a comedy show but even more rare to see a show where a woman is allowed to make fun of religion, politics, gender and more. The show was really funny, well set up and well paced. I had come to the Vaults before for a dinner but never to a show and this is a great venue, not too big and intimate enough to really feel part of the show (the angels will help you feel really part of the show as well!). One to recommend!”
