Simon Gross and celeb friends got together and made a single to help raise funds for the NHS called Hero Song Covid-19 which can be purchased via Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music and iTunes for 99p.

Simon Gross says

“The word celebrity goes to the NHS for they are now the celebrities as they stand out for all their hard work”

Simon and the others got involved as they are all truly passionate about the NHS and plus these are some of the heart warming reasons why they wanted to get involved.

Cinnamon Kitchen Holi celebration with Vivek Singh

For the sixth year Cinnamon Kitchen celebrates Holi in the City. Holi is an Indian festival of colour and is a way to celebrate the victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring.

I was invited down to the press night to celebrate Holi with some other of my community members of Love Pop Ups London as well as others from the press.

Cinnamon Kitchen is one of the restaurants within under the Cinnamon Club by Vivek Singh.

Located in the City and Battersea London these all-day dining restaurant gives diners an exciting, contemporary Indian menus which use quality and seasonal ingredients. There is a wide array of dishes to choose from their a la carte menu such as grills, tasting plates and curries as well as interesting vegetarian options. They also have reasonably priced two & three course set menus giving diners a great choice of Indian cuisine at a great price.

I can’t believe it’s not cheese – Made in Hackney : Life Beyond Cheese

I had the privilege of attending on a complimentary basis one of Made in Hackney vegan cheese masterclasses ‘Life Beyond Cheese’ with Ellie Phoebe Brown in return for a blog.

I am not a vegan but I have got a tolerance to dairy especially cheese so this class was definitely one which would be beneficial to me as I love cheese but cheese does not love me.

Spooktacular fundraising night – The Mortlock’s Halloween 2018

For the past ten years I and my husband Jason have decorated our house up for Halloween to give the children in the area a frightfully good scary night.

However over the past five years we decided to also help fund raise money for charities.  This year we helped to raise funds for The Maypole Project.

The Maypole Project

The Maypole Project aims to relieve and help preserve the mental and physical well-being of children and young people who have complex medical needs and disabilities and to support their family members as well as others who are affected by their suffering and in certain cases, bereavement.

They aim to educate, support and preserve the mental and physical well-being of carers and professionals working with such families and help them with issues of loss and bereavement. Continue reading

Chips, chips and more chips – Poutinerie by Air Canada

Poutinerie by Air Canada has popped up again this year but this time at Old Spitafileds Market as they want to give Londoners a taste of what Air Canada offers, and what better way than serving Canadian’s national dish poutine with proceeds going towards Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Last year when they popped up they sold over 2,133 poutine dishes and helped raise £39,000 with proceeds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity whom they are fundraising again for.

Roll up it’s time for a beer – Lagunitas Beer Circus

Roll up, roll up all beer and circus lovers as Lagunitas Beer Circus is in town.

Hopping across the pond Lagunitas Beer Circus came to Flat Iron Square, London for one day only (18 August) for the very first time.  The space was transformed into an all singing and dancing circus, complete with a Ring Master, clowns, circus performances, music and BEER.
