Pottd get potty and create ever lasting memories

I love to get crafty at home as it is fun but also great for wellness. When I discovered about Pott’d People I was super excited as looking at their videos via Instagram and surfing through their website it gave me lots of creative ideas.

Pottery to me really does relax me and take my mind of things but it also at the same time lets me release my creativity. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and helps boost my own self-confidence and resilience after creating anything. Even though my pottery skills are not A1 as I am a novice after all it’s something that I made from scratch and something for me to be proud of.

I was kindly gifted courtesy of Pott’d People for an honest review.

Pott’d

Pott’d was launched back in 2021 by couple Frankie and Sascha.

They love pottery and hence want everyone else to fall in love with pottery so they decided to put together pottery boxes with easy instructions within each box. To them pottery is not just fun but also great for mental health as it lets you disconnect from the world and channel your inner artist.

Downland Produce enjoy free range meat live a healthier life

I love to cook and eat but I am always conscious about when it comes to cooking with anything as it can make a big difference to when it comes to taste, that is why it is important to buy good quality products. Apart from that it is also very important to me to know that the produce has little impact on the environment hence why I usually buy organic, free range or fair trade produce.

Meat in particular though is very important when it comes to buying any as I am an animal lover I would love to believe that the animal had a good life beforehand, such as roaming fields, not locked up in a cage. So when I discovered about Downland Produce who only sell free range meat it made me very happy to hear as not all butchers sell free range meat.

I was gifted a meat box on a courtesy basis from Downland Produce to show me how good their free range meat is.

Downland Produce

In 2018 Chris took on after months of planning Downland Produce, a small and passionate business in the heart of Wiltshire.

Working closely with local food producers to help keep the food miles down and the traceability of each product crystal clear.

Chris wants to provide intimacy between not only the butcher and his craft, but also the customer and the industry.

Downland Produce sell quality meat from locally reared beef animals to the high welfare chickens. All their meat is naturally reared, totally traceable and locally sourced in Wiltshire and across the South West. They are especially proud of their Red Tractor Assured, RSPCA Assured, locally sourced, Award-winning, Wiltshire pork. All their meat is produced to the highest welfare and quality assured standards.

If you are looking to pimp up your table or home then I highly recommend checking out Peter Bowen, who sells a range of beautiful ceramics and prints. I was kindly gifted a sugar bowl courtesy of Peter Bowen to show me that having a sugar bowl on your table for breakfast or afternoon tea really can lift your spirits and make your dining experience at home feel that extra special.

Did you know that there are 56 different sugars out there? such as brown sugar to cane sugar. Do you know where sugars come from? Sugars are found in most plants. Also honey and fruit where an abundant natural source of unbounded simple sugars are.

Bath Fairy time to soak, relax and rejuvenate

Having a bath is the most relaxing way to wash your troubles away but what makes a bath even more fun is watching and listening to a bath bomb fizz away.

What are bath bombs? Bath bombs are a little like bubble bath but with a fizz. They can be bought in a variety of shapes and are made from baking soda generally and citric acid and a mix of essential oils to impart a particular scent and feel. The beauty though about bath bombs is that when dissolving within the bath it releases citric acid which fizzes up and helps loosen damaged layers of skin. Plus the oils used in bath bombs also tend to be super moisturizing and the hydrating oils will leave your skin feeling soft and supple.

The Bath Fairy bath bombs are a must though if like me you love a relaxing time and fun in the bath as their bath bombs are unique, fun and quirky plus last longer than other leading brands. I was kindly gifted a few bath bombs courtesy of the founder of The Bath Fairy.

The Bath Fairy

The Bath Fairy is a brand new cosmetic company which has hit the UK market supplying bath bombs, soaps and salts.

All their bath bombs are all handmade and each are unique, come with their own scent and colour, which provides a magical bath experience.

The salts on sale are infused with their own unique blend of essential oils, which provide a wide range of health benefits.

All of their products are:

Emergency, during these dark days we are all in need for an emergency cocktail or two to see us through. We might be winning the war on Covid 19 with many now having their first jab but the world has changed, with many now working permanently from home, too scared to venture out or even quarantined Cahoots is on hand with their emergency cocktail kits.

The scoundrels of Cahoots have come up with their boozy emergency cocktails kits for those who are working or stuck at home. Enjoy a range of their unique and quirky cocktails which are all inspired by drinks of the 1940s.

I was gifted a box to enjoy with my husband at home where we sat back and relaxed watching a romantic movie whilst sipping on some spiffing good cocktails provided by Cahoots.

Cahoots part of the Inception Group

The Inception Group is a fun, creative and dynamic company which was founded back in 2009 by entrepreneurs Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling. The company has a group of unique bars, restaurants and club concepts within Central London.

Cahoots opened it’s doors 2015 within Soho bringing a post war style themed experience to all those who are brave enough to venture underground. The underground station, used to be a real air raid shelter back in the day during the Blitz.

Within Cahoots you can sip on classic cocktails, black market liquor and post-war favourites, from old mugs, hip flasks, vintage milk bottles and tins, all which are finished with ingredients half-inched from nana’s pantry, picked from the allotment and foraged from the ruins.

At Cahoots spirits are high and the drinks never run dry, with plenty of dancing and sing-a-longs around an old piano.

Presently Cahoots Station at 5 Kingly Street is closed (will reopen 17 May) but in the meantime you can enjoy a spiffing good cocktail by the scoundrels in their outdoor seating area and enjoy a black market cocktail or two. Book an outdoor table here. 5 Kingly Street.

Plus for those though that are not ready to venture back out through to London then no fret as the cunning scoundrels of Cahoots can deliver directly to your door an emergency cocktail kit to enjoy in the comfort of your own home or garden.

Sheese I can’t believe it’s not cheese

Vegans can now enjoy the taste of cheese which is not made from dairy but still tastes exactly like cheese thanks to artisan makers of Sheese.

Did you know? that non-dairy cheese originated from China back in the 16th century, which was made using fermented tofu or whole soy. Since then home made vegan cheese evolved and many ingredients are used such as nuts, soy milk, and soy yogurt. Around the late 90s vegan cheese became popular in the commercial field. Within the 00’s a number of different types of vegan cheeses such as mozzarella, cheddar, etc. became available.

Courtesy of Sheese via Gifta I was gifted a few packs to try out and I was highly surprised by the quality, look, texture and taste of all the cheeses.

Sheese

Back in 1988 Sheese was founded by Debs, Frans, Guy and Mark who each are intolerant to dairy products. They bring to the UK an array of award winning Scottish vegan cheeses. All of their dairy free vegan cheeses are a healthy cheese alternative, perfect for people with plant based diets and people with dietary restrictions like lactose intolerance. All are gluten, dairy, lactose & animal free, and certified Vegan & Kosher (Pareve).

Years of research, development and production was involved to bring original, traditional cheeses, from taste to texture, to our tables. Their new range of vegan cheese is made from coconut oil, and doesn’t contain Hydrogenated Fat or Palm Oil. Their soya comes from an IP Source, and is made from the best quality, clean, dehulled soybean seeds as GMO is an important issue to us, and all of their ingredients they use are sourced as non-GMO.
