Scripts for Supper

Love supperclubs?
Love theatre performances?
Love ex-Masterchef contestants?
Then you’ll love Annie’s Scripts for Supper

Scripts for Supper is a theatrical dining experience where the actors double up as waiters and the food brings you into the world of the play. A script. A supper. An evening you’ll never forget. Have a look at our past adventures to see what we’ve been getting up to, and future projects for what’s just around the corner.

Created by Annie McKenzie who is an actor, writer, director and chef, she graduated from the MA Acting course at East 15 in 2013, ahead of her appearance on the BBC’s MasterChef in 2016. Annie is passionate about creating devised, collaborative and organic work, and retelling classic stories in an original and dynamic way. Her adaptations for the company include Twelfth Night, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Wind in the Willows and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. She has also written her own solo show, Happiness is a Cup of Tea, and recently appeared on Home Front on Radio 4.

“The four performers who played the roles all acted out their parts really well making you feel that you had been transported back to the Victorian times with beautiful Victorian style costumes designed by Jo Jo Fauchier.”

“The concept is great, the location; fitting, the performances; fun, and the food; exquisite. If you are looking for something different to do on an afternoon or evening, and enjoy a little quirkiness when dining out, then I’d recommend heading along to see what it’s all about.”

“It reminded me a little of Alice In Wonderland in terms of ‘play structure’ but Script For Supper’s Wind In The Willows adaptation was certainly its own, with actors filled with  infectious energy, oh how they chortled.”
