Supperclub Pepes Kitchen

Love food?
Love supperclubs?
Love socialising?

Pepes Kitchen is a supperclub that is in London but they love to cook food that comes from the Philippine Islands. Every month towards the end of the month on a Saturday a supperclub night is held.

Taste very authentic and homely Filipino food from regional dishes to street food.   Filipino food has a strong connection with its history, it’s a melting pot of different influences from Spain, U.S., as well as Malay, Austro-nesian and Indo-Chinese adding to it own indigenous culture. Food is a social way that binds people together during meal times and numerous fiestas throughout the year.

On the night you will get to taste various courses along with a welcome cocktail in an informal dinning experience and if you want booze then don’t forget to take your own.

One of the members of the community had the opportunity to experience one of their themed supperclubs  Halloween which was held on 28 October.  The menu consisted of:

Welcome cocktail with Appetizer

Menudo Tartlets: stewed diced chicken in tomato based sauce cooked with potatoes, bell peppers, chicken liver and green peas

Bulalo: beef and bone broth simmered for a few hours

Dinuguan at Puto: Pork stew in pork blood served with homemade steamed rice cakes or jasmine rice

Ensaymada at Sorbetes: Freshly baked sweet butter bread served with homemade coconut ice cream

If reading this menu has made you hungry and you really would like to try Flipino food then look no further as this is certainly the supperclub to try.
