April Jackson (former Miss Jamaica Universe, food blogger & The Apprentice 2015 candidate) decided to open up her own Jamaican inspired restaurants.

Three Little Birds was initially a project to celebrate Jamaica’s cuisine, music and talent whilst giving guests the opportunity to escape the concrete jungle and instead journey to the Caribbean.

She opened up her first restaurant and rum bar in Brixton to celebrate her island’s cuisine, music and talent.

Who needs the real South Pole? – South Pole Saloon in Brixton

South Pole Saloon is Christmas.

With Christmas just round the corner what a top way to start any festive celebration off by sipping on martinis and cocktails whilst also grabbing a selfie or two with the Sweet Candy Cane girls, Ice King and the Frozen Ice Queen of Brixton.

I had the pleasure of attending the launch night of South Pole Saloon which is back for it’s second time being bigger and better.

I went along to a press night and as soon as I entered the rooftop I was literally transported to a beach party. ‘Was I in London anymore?’ I asked myself with all the sand, DJ’s, amazing food and several bars with some serving frozen cocktails.
