Karen’s Diner brings the World’s rudest restaurant to London Barnet

Karen’s Diner is a fast food restaurant like no other.

If you’re not familiar with the concept of Karen’s Diner, the idea behind it is essentially “good food, terrible staff”! This though is a joke, as this is a interactive funny dining experience which comes served with plenty of tongue in cheek moments.

You might be asking though why I or anyone might want to go to a restaurant such as Karen’s Diner where the service is so bad, and be treated by foul mouth waiters, insulted and treated with no manners, well it is all about the playfulness as you banter with the servers, which actually make the bad service, not actual bad service! If you know what I mean?

I was invited down on a PR basis courtesy of Karen’s Diner to sample the food delights they have on offer as well as to experience their appalling service in which they are famed for.

Karen’s Diner

Karen’s Diner is a famous chain restaurant which popped up back in 2021 in Australia, Sydney which serves fast food from burgers to milkshakes, but with appallingly bad service!

The concept of it being called Karen’s Diner is that a woman called Karen is usually a middle-aged woman who likes to complain a lot.

Since opening back in 2021 Karen’s restaurants grew and now can be found across the globe. However even though there was some within the UK there was not any in London until now. .

March 2023 saw London’s first Karen’s Diner pop up within The Hadley Hotel. With another opening soon after in London’s Islington.

The appeal of a Karen’s Diner is the ability to have playful argumentative banter whilst being served by rude waiters as you dine.

The Blues Kitchen will solve your blues as guaranteed as soon as you step through the doors of this vibrant colourful themed speakeasy restaurant you will be smiling. They serve up delicious American cuisine from burgers to shrimp taco salads as well as tasty cocktails. All in which you can also enjoy on certain nights throughout the week live music by talented musicians.

The Blues Kitchen has a number of restaurants across London and even one in Manchester. I was invited courtesy of the management to visit their Brixton branch which really wowed me from the start. The decor is stunning, they serve yummy food, and refreshing cocktails. Sadly though I did not stay the night for the live music due to train issues but I have heard good things about their entertainment.

Coqbull Soho chicken licken and moolicious food

Coqbull Soho is a restaurant located right in the middle of the vibrant Soho in London who serves free range Norfolk chicken and burgers as well as vegan dishes. They have four floors including a roof top terrace with a fully catered bar making it a perfect place to visit no matter what the weather.

Using free range to me is very important as it means that the animal was free to roam outdoors rather than being confined in cages or enclosures. They also enjoy finer feeds which means that they are healthier.

I love chicken and burgers so to have a restaurant which is dedicated to serving both is great. Also the best thing is that all their meat is sourced from The Butchers Block within London who sources the best free range meat within the UK. They are a third generation family of butchers who are committed to serving the best of British produce as all their meat is free range.

Did you know that eating free range or organic chicken meat is better for you as it generally has a higher proportion of omega-3 fatty acids compared with intensively reared chicken meat, with a similar ratio of omega-6 to omega-3. Eating free range beef is also a plus as instead of the cows being fed grains they feed on grass which is high in key nutrients like omega-3s and vitamin B. So free range beef is much leaner, healthier and tastes a lot better than grain fed beef.

Courtesy of Coqbull I was invited to sample their great tasting free range chicken and burgers.

Coqbull Soho

There is a new chicken and burger joint in town thanks to founder Patrick Frawley.

After having a great success with their two venues based within Ireland, he know brings to London Soho his lively and energetic take on casual dining to town.

Coqbull Soho consists of three exquisite bars spread across four floors with a spacious outside dining area and a one-of-a-kind rooftop terrace with heaters and blankets at the ready.

If you have a date coming up, a group occasion or need to take over an entire floor or the full venue Coqbull is the place.

Grabbing a burger within London or anywhere over the world in fact is not difficult with there being so many fast-food restaurants, cafes, and speciality and high-end restaurants which sell burgers.  There are a number of different cultured types of burgers which are sold all over the world so when I was invited down by Yen of Yen Burger to taste what an Asian inspired burger is like I could not resist, as I love burgers.
