Old Chang Kee curries and their famous curry puffs can now be home delivered

Have you ever been to Old Chang Kee and enjoyed their Singaporean / Malaysian curries or tucked into one of their famous curry puffs? No, then I highly recommend as they are so “SHIOK”.

Old Chang Kee curry puffs can be found within both their London based restaurants as well as various other restaurants from around the world.

However at present whilst we are all in lock down due to Covid-19 their London based business are home delivering them frozen to cook at home. I was kindly gifted four different kinds to cook and enjoy at home in return for an honest review.

The Famous Curry Bazaar found in Brick Lane

Brick Lane is famous for curries due to the vast amount of Indian restaurants which line the street each promoting themselves as being the best for curries thus making it’s absurdly difficult to tell a good curry house from the bad. No wonder Brick Lane is considered the heart of the city’s Bangladeshi community and is known to some as Banglatown and London’s curry mile.

Believe it or not though I myself have never eaten in any of the curry houses that span down Brick Lane until now as I was invited down along on a complimentary basis by the owners of The Famous Curry Bazaar to try one of their curry dishes.

Cinnamon Kitchen Indian cuisine within Battersea

Indian is one of the UK’s most favourite cuisine to eat be it grabbing a curry to takeaway or dining at a restaurant with friends munching on poppadoms and ordering the most spiciest of all curries to show off. If you are one of those who love Indian then I highly recommend visiting Vivek Singh’s Cinnamon Kitchen within Battersea.

I was invited down on a complimentary basis along with some other community members of Love Pop Ups London to enjoy their three course set menu which is very reasonably priced.

Cinnamon Kitchen

Cinnamon Kitchen is one of the restaurants within under the Cinnamon Club by Vivek Singh.

Located in Battersea London this all-day dining restaurant gives diners an exciting, contemporary Indian menus which use quality and seasonal ingredients. There is a wide array of dishes to choose from their a la carte menu such as grills, tasting plates and curries as well as interesting vegetarian options. They also have reasonably priced two & three course set menus giving diners a great choice of Indian cuisine at a great price.

Kanishka – Culinary delights of North East India by Atul Kochhar

Kanishka is an Indian cuisine by Atul Kochhar which can be found in the heart of Mayfair.

I had the pleasure of attending the other day on a complimentary invite along with another member of Love Pop Ups London community Steve in which we dined on a 3 course menu from the A La Carte menu.

Kanishka is owned by Michelin Chef Atul Kochhar back in March 2019.

Atul Kochhar’s latest restaurant Kanishka is set in the heart of Mayfair.

Kanishka focusses on the unexplored cuisine from the so called ‘Sister States’ of India which is in the North East from sates Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.
