Sun Street London brings to it’s doors puppy yoga event by Satya Yoga

Haufson cookware press day with guest chef Nancy Lam

Haufson’s kitchen utensils and cookware are exquisite as all their products are classy and high in quality giving the best cooking experience. I have a few of their products such as their pink cute heart shaped pancake pan which is ideal for Valentines but never knew about their wok until now.

I was lucky enough to be invited down to Haufson special press day to learn about their wok within School of Wok Kitchen whilst being demonstrated by a celebrity chef.

I attended the event where Nancy Lam cooked with a Haufson wok whilst she fried up some prawns and showed us how easy the wok is to use, without burning or overcooking the prawns. The other classes also had demos by Emily Roux (Michel Roux Jr daughter) and Chef Exose who was on MasterChef the Professionals. He is now chef de partie at James Martin restaurant in Manchester.

Taste Film immersive dining with Elf

Have you ever watched a movie and when it comes to those eating scenes on screen you start to feel hungry? Thanks to Taste Film immersive dining experts they bring a fun interactive tasting experience to their events and lately even to our homes with their home cookery kits.

This December (18, 19 or 20 of December) to celebrate Christmas they have inspired their food courses around the classic movie Elf. Just watch the movie, pause the movie at certain points, cook, then play and feel immersed within the movie. Eat bagels whilst Buddy the Elf hops around New York City, shovel spaghetti into your mouth like he does when he’s dining with his long lost family and enjoy two nice but naughty desserts as you watch Buddy help Santa get his sleigh back into the air.

As I have been nice, not naughty I was gifted on a courtesy basis from Taste Film this immersive dining experience to bring me some festive cheer during these bleak times.

Taste Film

Taste Film popped up back in 2017 bringing us diners a new way to dine immersing us all into classic cult movies whilst eating.

Food has always played a big part in cinema and the founders of Taste Film are self-confessed foodies; and they wanted to merge the two elements together and bring these films to life with a difference.

Have you ever watched a film that made you hungry? Have you ever wished to be part of the filmic world you are seeing on screen? Been so immersed in what you are watching that you want to experience every aspect of the film?

Taste Film hosts immersive dining movie nights within restaurants with independent chefs cooking for all diners whilst we sit back and be taken on a multi-sensory, gastronomic adventure, where the boundaries of film and food merge.

Plus presently due to the pandemic Taste Film are now also giving movie and food lovers 3 course dining kits which can be enjoyed easily at home. Just follow the easy instruction booklet play movie, pause, cook, play, eat, repeat and repeat.

KitchenAid – Making History 100 Pop Up

KitchenAid held a celebration pop up event on 7 May celebrating once-in-a-century.

As I am a keen amateur chef and love experimenting as well as following those step by step instructions from cook books I was highly delighted when I received a special invite from KitchenAid to celebrate with them.

I must admit I am grateful that I was born in an era where there are so many kitchen appliances to be had to aid any budding cook like myself to whip up cream or even beat an egg.

The pop up event was held within Canary Wharf in the East Winter Gardens building in which KitchenAid celebrated their 100 years. I and other invitees were taken on a historical journey through the ages of KitchenAid.

The Grand feed me – Little Shop of Horrors

I had the privilege of attending The Grand along with some other community members of Love Pop Ups London to watch the classic movie Little Shop of Horrors.

The Grand

The Grand was established in 1900. Launched originally as a music hall, since then it has held a number of different events from cinema screenings, shows, bingo and even a nightclub. However The Grand has always remained true to it’s original aim to entertain.

Back in the day The Grand quickly established itself as one of London’s premier venues, attracting all sorts of stars from Marie Lloyd to young Charlie Chaplin. Continue reading

Gino, Gino, Gino! – WeFiFo: Gino D’Acampo event

Gino held a special event along with WeFiFo the other day and it was FANTASTICO!

Many of the other community members of ‘Love Pop Ups – London’ have had the pleasure to attend many of WeFiFo’s various supperclubs in the past courtesy of me and them (read their blogs/vlogs via clicking here) but this time it was my turn. I paid for my experience though as when I saw Gino’s special event being advertised I immediately wanted to secure my spot as I am a massive fan of Gino D’Acampo. However regardless of that any WeFiFo supperclub event is worth every penny as they are all so unique and special.  Continue reading

Drink, drink and more drink – The Spirit Show, London

I went along to the press afternoon of The Spirit Show which was held at the Business Design Centre (1-2 December 2017) in which I took along my blogger friend Kim (see her blog by clicking here). Press events are great as attending those sessions are much quieter which in turn makes it easier and more leisurely to browse around all the stalls, instead of trying to keep on pushing pass everyone to sample a drink or two or to have a discussion with the sellers/owners.

Magical Lantern is a great way to start the festivities off this Winter as it certainly makes me feel full of joy and gets me in a festive spirit as I am sure it will do for many others.

It returns for it’s third year (24 Nov 2017 – 1 Jan 2018) to the lovely grounds of Chiswick House & Gardens in London this time with the supposedly theme of Christmas. The nearest stations are Turnham Green station and Chiswick Overground station. Entry to Magical Lantern for an adult costs £14.00 weekday and £15.50 during the weekend. For children it costs £10 weekday and £11.50 during the weekend (prices correct at the time). Continue reading
