Vemacity it’s gin o’clock after 96 hours

We are a nation of gin drinkers, and as a lover of gin myself, I and many others are naturally curious about how gin is made and flavoured. Thanks to Vemacity I learnt the basis of how to make a gin with botanicals at home. I never knew that gin started from infusing vodka with juniper berries for 48 hours before adding botanicals to flavour and infuse for yet another 48 hours. After 96 hours it then was soon gin o’clock time where I could celebrate with a lovely glass of my homemade flavoured gin within a balloon copa gin glass.

I was gifted on a courtesy basis from Vemacity their ultimate gin making kit and engraved gin glasses.

Vemacity

Vemacity was set up back in 2018 by two Londoner’s who loves gin and wants to spread the enjoyment of gin to all.

Their passion is to create a new way to experience gin and tonic through their products. There are so many incredibly delicious gins out there to discover and experiment with but they wanted was to bring a gin and tonic experience to all like no other. To them a great gin experience is anchored within the moment that you create around it. Time, effort, attention to detail and knowledge are equally as important when experiencing gin.

Vemacity brings to the world a new and interesting way to enjoy gin. They believe a great gin and tonic should be served the right way and engage all the senses. So, they set out to create specialist barware and gin gifts which elevates the experience of drinking gin at home.

NOVELTEA a cheeky tipple, leave a cuppa out for Santa this Christmas Eve

I love tea, but I also love a drink so when I discovered NOVELTEA my eyes lit up as it is tea and alcohol blended together. There’s a variety of reasons why I and others choose to drink tea or alcohol and that is a way to relax after a hard day’s work, socialise with friends or to relieve anxiety issues. Thanks to NOVELTEA I can now enjoy my favourite drinks perfectly blended together.

Courtesy of NOVELTEA I was gifted a bottle of their festive ‘Celebration’ tea with spiced Whiskey.

NOVELTEA

Founded in 2016 Lukas and Vincent brought to the world NOVELTEA blended with alcohol. Their success was so immediate, and the feedback very positive, that they knew they needed to get their alcoholic teas in front of as many tea lovers as possible as quickly as possible. So they pitched it to BBC’s Dragons Den and launched in China.

Since winning Dragons Den they have been bringing out new flavours, growing worldwide, and getting recognition winning many awards.

Kerr’s Gin steam their botanicals

Most gin, if you are a lover of gin you will know that the botanicals are usually boiled but what makes Kerr’s Gin different you ask?, well they steam their botanicals. By steaming it captures more of the subtle aromas and complex flavours, together with the barley base, this creates a gin of distinctive depth and character.

I was given a thank you gift of Kerr’s Gin courtesy of The Borders Distillery for reviewing their Puffing Vodka.

Kerr’s Gin

The Borders Distillery opened back in March 2018 and was the first Scotch Whisky distillery in the Scottish Borders since 1837. They are dedicated to capturing the true spirit of the Borders bringing whisky making back to the region plus vodka and gin.

Kerr’s Gin is 43% ABV and is a Scottish Gin which is wholly distilled from barley and is grown only 20 miles of the distillery.

I was gifted a PR sample of Pink Marmalade Gin to enjoy within the comfort of my home.

Pink Marmalade Gin

Gifted on a courtesy basis I was treated to a few bottles of their fruity tonics and cordials to pair with sparkling water. Alternatively though you can pair with either Gin or Vodka.

Jeffrey’s Tonic

Mike & Maureen Robinson, came about with their tonics and cordials after being gifted a book one Christmas in which described how gin is made.
