Murder at Leeds Castle – BlackWatch Entertainment Murder on the Home Front

Leeds Castle is set in Maidstone not in London but I just had to write up about this pop up Murder Mystery event ‘Murder on the Home Front’ that I went along to this April which was performed by BlackWatch Entertainment.

Leeds Castle

Staying at Leeds Castle

I wanted to make the most of the night so me and my husband Jason we booked booked a stay at Leeds Castle in the converted stables.  I love animals so this is why I chose the stables over the actual castle in which you can stay in.  The castle is very grand and maybe next time I will stay there.  The stable room we had overlooked the lake so I could see many birds from ducks to swans.  The room also was a very spacious double and very nicely decorated. There was also complimentary snacks with some good old British tea and coffee on hand. Continue reading

Down Down Down the rabbit hole – Alice Adventures Underground

I went along to a special press / blogger evening of Alice Adventures Underground in which I adventured down the White Rabbit’s hole. This event is an immersive spin on Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice in Wonderland. This 2017 Olivier Award nominated adventure has returned to The Waterloo Vaults.

It first had a successful run back in 2015 where it had fully sold out but now it has returned for 2017 with even more adventure to have along the way with some new characters.  Usually you can’t take photos on your journey but because I attended a special press night we all got to meet the characters after and take photos with them which was very special and I feel very privileged.

Romeo, Romeo – CoLab: Montagues and Capulets

I went along to CoLab to watch and take part in an immersive modern adaptation of the play Romeo and Juliet. The whole experience was such fun and I really enjoyed the modern take on Romeo and Juliet.  I love the fact that us the audience could get involved in the scenes with helping out in various missions from seeking evidence to being a bridesmaid for Juliet. Plus it is great that the whole play is situated over various rooms with us being able to get to them from climbing ladders and crawling through tunnels.  Continue reading

Code your cocktail – The Bletchley

I feel privileged and I and others from Love Pop Ups London had to the pleasure to attend a soft launch of Lollipops new bar called The Bletchley.

The Bletchley the wartime cocktail bar

Upon entering the bar I was blown away as I really did feel like I had travelled back into time back to the war with it’s dark lit atmosphere and the noise of air raid sirens going off and everyone dressed in war time uniforms.  Everyone is given a war jacket to wear to make making people feel like your in the war down in a bar basement.

Which Agent name will you be given?

All agents (drinkers) are asked to choose their favourite colour. My favourite colour is pink so I was called ‘Agent Pink’ for the night. Now onto the fun part of ordering my cocktail. Continue reading
