Immersive dining recommendations

There are so many fabulous unusual and immersive dining experiences in London to experience with new ones constantly popping up. To make it a little easier to choose which one you should do I thought I would write an article of my personal top five favourites.

Immersive Dining

What is immersive dining?

Well it is where you go along to eat but at the same time watch or even get involved with performances which is happening around you as in most cases improvisation and involvement from yourself may be required. Continue reading

Double, double toil and trouble – The Cauldron

A magical cocktail experience called The Cauldron has popped up in London for 4 months.

Matthew Cortland who is a technologist and a former reading teacher along with David Duckworth who is a molecular mixologist and cocktail designer came up with the concept of combining science, technology and magic. They got their inspiration from movies such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars (not endorsed, affiliated or associated in anyway).

The Cauldron

We of Love Pop Ups London had the pleasure to enter the doors of The Cauldron to experience the magic. Continue reading

A drunk found dead – ImmerCity : Dead Quiet

ImmerCity returns this Summer with a new production Dead Quiet. Similar to previous shows it is a fully immersive murder mystery experience which centres around solving a mysterious murder. This time is about a murder which took place several decades ago at Kensington Central Library.  I had the pleasure of trying out a test run at their dress rehearsal with Bianca a blogger whom is a community member of Love Pop Ups London.

ImmerCity : Dead Quiet

The librarian Miss Gwendolyn Radcliffe has been haunted by what happened over 50 years back ever since a murder happened and thinks it also has a link to the murder of her late husband whom died 10 years after.  So we was all called upon to help solve what happened.  Continue reading

They originally started life as a single dimensional nomadic food fusion which has morphed into three distinct strands of flavoursome forays: Chambers of Flavour, Classic Gingerline and the most recent Flavourology. Continue reading

Feminism rules – An Evening of Meat

I went along with some other members of Love Pop Ups London to experience one of The Vaults latest show An Evening of Meat.

The Vaults

If you don’t know much about The Vaults it is a disused railway under the arches of Waterloo Station in London.  The Vaults are the home for immersive theatre and alternative arts. Their mission is to collaborate and conspire, embracing artists from all walks of life to come together and inspire others.

An Evening of Meat at The Vaults

An Evening of Meat is an immersive theatre and dining experience from all-female creative collective, I AM. We’ve all heard the expression ‘she was treated like a piece of meat’ well this show is about showing and exploring the female form, power and strength as we are not all ‘pieces of meat’.  Feminist performers take the artistic show to a new level. Continue reading

Doing time drinking – Alcotraz

Alcotraz is an immersive cocktail bar in London set in the heart of Brick Lane and is the only immersive prison type bar within London at present.  Alcotraz initially opened up as a pop up back in September 2017 created by Sam Shearman the founder of Inventive Productions. From January 2018 though it has now become a permanent venue. Sam was inspired by (you guessed it) Alcatraz. The entire venue can accommodate 40 inmates at any one time and throughout your sentence cell mates will be served four cocktails made from the liquor that you have smuggled past the guards.
