I love theatre but I have never experienced anything like Cages before. Cages is a dark, gothic, heart felt musical which uses cinematic technology along with synchronised acting all which focuses on control by the government, as within Anhedonia emotions and love is forbidden.
Emotions are what makes us though and an important part of our life but within Anhedonia emotions is not allowed in particular love, but Woolf a boy born with a red heart changes all this when he gets the attention of a young female and unlocks her heart but sadly not all ends well for Woolf and his love Madeline.
I was invited along to watch Cages, experience their VIP bar area and also taste their themed Cages menu within the Riverside Studios restaurant.
Created by CJ Baran and Ben Romans, Cages has enjoyed a successful and acclaimed run in Los Angeles since 2019 and now is premiering at UKs Riverside Studio.
Continue readingEmergency, during these dark days we are all in need for an emergency cocktail or two to see us through. We might be winning the war on Covid 19 with many now having their first jab but the world has changed, with many now working permanently from home, too scared to venture out or even quarantined Cahoots is on hand with their emergency cocktail kits.
The scoundrels of Cahoots have come up with their boozy emergency cocktails kits for those who are working or stuck at home. Enjoy a range of their unique and quirky cocktails which are all inspired by drinks of the 1940s.
I was gifted a box to enjoy with my husband at home where we sat back and relaxed watching a romantic movie whilst sipping on some spiffing good cocktails provided by Cahoots.
The Inception Group is a fun, creative and dynamic company which was founded back in 2009 by entrepreneurs Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling. The company has a group of unique bars, restaurants and club concepts within Central London.
Cahoots opened it’s doors 2015 within Soho bringing a post war style themed experience to all those who are brave enough to venture underground. The underground station, used to be a real air raid shelter back in the day during the Blitz.
Within Cahoots you can sip on classic cocktails, black market liquor and post-war favourites, from old mugs, hip flasks, vintage milk bottles and tins, all which are finished with ingredients half-inched from nana’s pantry, picked from the allotment and foraged from the ruins.
At Cahoots spirits are high and the drinks never run dry, with plenty of dancing and sing-a-longs around an old piano.
Presently Cahoots Station at 5 Kingly Street is closed (will reopen 17 May) but in the meantime you can enjoy a spiffing good cocktail by the scoundrels in their outdoor seating area and enjoy a black market cocktail or two. Book an outdoor table here. 5 Kingly Street.
Plus for those though that are not ready to venture back out through to London then no fret as the cunning scoundrels of Cahoots can deliver directly to your door an emergency cocktail kit to enjoy in the comfort of your own home or garden.
