Art Sippers be merry and be creative

Art Sippers is all about having fun, sipping on drink be it beer or wine, partying to music and of course painting!

Did you know that art is a great way to relieve stress and anxiety? as it let’s anyone get creative, increases brain plasticity, and can help with other mental health benefits.

As Pablo Picasso one said

“Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life.”

I was invited down on a complimentary basis along with Steve a community member of Love Pop Ups London to release our arty side.

Elliot and Josie are a creative and dynamic couple who have worked in the events and promotions sector for over 15 years combined. Successfully running nationwide pop-up stores and product launches for various well-known brands.

In 2019 Josie was made redundant but instead of it affecting her well-being and mental health she and Elliot decided to come up with their own pop up business adventure Art Sippers. ​

Their vision is to relieve people of their daily stress and anxiety through engaging, social, art events.

One night only at Savoy Theatre The Chicago Blues Brothers BLUE the night away

For one night only on 4 August the award winning The Chicago Blues Brothers made its West End debut in London’s Savoy Theatre bringing audiences Motown chart topping music.

I was invited on a complimentary press related experience to enjoy a night of classic Motown tunes.

Celebrating over 30 years of the Blues Brothers phenomenon, Jack (Chris Hindle) and Elwood (Gareth Davey) bring to audiences an explosive non-stop party night which is packed with over 2 hours of the greatest Blues, Motown & Soul songs from both of The Blues Brothers movies and plenty of laughs too!

This year they bring to stage their new elaborate new stage production including a full live band, over 40 songs and classics from Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, The Temptations, Tina Turner, Cab Calloway plus many more.

Scripts for Supper presents Wind in the Willows – Onion sauce, onion sauce says Mole

Scripts for Supper returns this Spring & Summer with an adaptation of Wind in the Willows along with delicious feast by Juanita Hennessey who was a MasterChef finalist back in 2016.

I and Steve we were invited down on a complimentary basis to take a journey with Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger whilst indulging in a 5 course feast, thankfully there was no onion soup but pea soup instead.

Scripts for Supper

Scripts for Supper creates brand new adaptations of classic stories and serves them alongside a bespoke menu inspired by the world of the play.

Annie McKenzie has been creating alongside Jessica McVay divine immersive dinners since 2017. Since then they have now grown to become a 5 star sell out immersive dining experience. 

Their experiences fuse together theatre, food, music, song and dance, and take diners on a culinary and theatrical story telling journey.

Bingo isn’t just for old people – Dabbers

Bingo has always been a big part of British culture and has been recently reignited for the younger generation as bingo is no longer a pensioner’s game!  Dabbers has recently been modernised for the younger generation bringing it into the 21st century from quirky bingo pop ups such as bingo brunches, bingo dinners, bingo parties, just about anything.  

I was invited down by Dabbers on a complimentary basis to experience and dab my way through the night within the UK’s first purpose built, contemporary bingo venue in Houndsditch, London.

Silent Disco time – Madame Tussauds

Ever wanted to get snapped with a celeb you idolise and dance with them?

Well at Madame Tussauds silent disco event you can do just that as they are a wax work museum.  They are situated in Baker Street and have life-size wax replicas of celebrities and historic icons over many themed galleries.

Living Fantasia – Sounds and Sorcery

This summer from 3rd July to 30th September 2018 The Vaults presents Sounds and Sorcery, a new and exciting immersive music concert experience, inspired by Disney Fantasia.  Why? as Micky Mouse is celebrating 90 years this year so it is in celebration to Disney and Mickey.

Feminism rules – An Evening of Meat

I went along with some other members of Love Pop Ups London to experience one of The Vaults latest show An Evening of Meat.

If you don’t know much about The Vaults it is a disused railway under the arches of Waterloo Station in London.  The Vaults are the home for immersive theatre and alternative arts. Their mission is to collaborate and conspire, embracing artists from all walks of life to come together and inspire others.

An Evening of Meat is an immersive theatre and dining experience from all-female creative collective, I AM. We’ve all heard the expression ‘she was treated like a piece of meat’ well this show is about showing and exploring the female form, power and strength as we are not all ‘pieces of meat’.  Feminist performers take the artistic show to a new level. Eat, drink and play – Social Fun and Games (SFG)

The other day I went to the launch night of Social Fun and Games (SFG) which has returned this winter to Stratford Centre, Roof East (8th floor). You will be able to relax, eat and drink in one of the cosy Igloos, drink in one of the many bars, listen and dance to music or play fun games such as Jenga or a game of curling with your friends.
