Immersive dining recommendations

There are so many fabulous unusual and immersive dining experiences in London to experience with new ones constantly popping up. To make it a little easier to choose which one you should do I thought I would write an article of my personal top five favourites.

Immersive Dining

What is immersive dining?

Well it is where you go along to eat but at the same time watch or even get involved with performances which is happening around you as in most cases improvisation and involvement from yourself may be required. Continue reading

Decisions, decisions – The Pudding Kitchen

The Pudding Kitchen by luxury pudding brand Pots & Co. popped up in London Soho just for two days (1-2 June) to showcase their products and newest puds.

As I love desserts as soon as I heard about this pop up and with it being Pots & Co. which is my favourite pudding makers I just had to book up straight away.  I went along on their first day and session with my friend Marcus to experience the delights of what they had to offer during their two day pop up.

Immersive gastronomic adventure – Gingerline Chambers of Flavour v3

Gingerline returns to East London with another installment of Chambers of Flavour.

But who are Gingerline?

Gingerline is a group of clandestine dining adventurers who have been creating nights of mystery and delicious dining along the East London Line since August 2010. From Crystal Palace to Canonbury they have taken immersive dining to the next level with adventures for London’s boldest and bravest diners-from a multi-room gin filled experience in New Cross, to a submarine mess hall in Shoreditch.

They originally started life as a single dimensional nomadic food fusion which has morphed into three distinct strands of flavoursome forays: Chambers of Flavour, Classic Gingerline and the most recent Flavourology. Continue reading

BBQ cooking made easy – Weber Pulse pop up

Weber is celebrating it’s BBQ season and in collaboration with celebrity chef Simon Rimmer. Weber has turned an old style London double decker bus into a mobile pop-up restaurant.  They are touring Europe’s cities and made a brief stop in London’s Kings Cross (Pancras Square) from 10th to 13th May.  Tickets costing £43.00 each it was a bargain not to be missed.

Weber Pulse bus

Lucky guests who booked quickly like me dined on the top deck of the double decker bus. We learnt about Weber products by Dan whilst Simon Rimmer gave us a demonstration.

If you did not get a spot in time or you just did not fancy dining on top of the bus then you could always still learn more about Weber’s new Pulse BBQ which was set around the bus outside.  The guys from Weber demonstrated how to cook on the Weber Pulse grills along with providing some tasty samples of food from pizza to steak.
