Tamashii has recently popped up in the heart of King’s Cross. It’s the creation of Chef Wei, who has over 35 years of experience, including 18 months at Hakkasan. This is his first restaurant pop up where he will be cooking and serving diners his fusion style twists from Ramen through to Pad Thai. The menu includes exquisite dishes to suit all palates.

I’m Dreaming Of A Baileys – Baileys Treat Bar

I had the joy of attending a private special masterclass at Baileys Treat Bar the other night along with some other fellow TimeOut Tastemakers. Ever watched people and celebrities on television enjoying culinary delights cooked by MasterChef finalists and ever wondered what it might be like. Well wait no more as with The Jam Shed Supper Club you can do just that.

I had the privilege of attending the first night of The Jam Shed Supper Club to taste their Australian wine which was being showcased and to enjoy culinary delights by Stuart Archer MasterChef finalist of 2016 one of the many MasterChefs who will be cooking at this pop up.

Malaysian food journey – Rojak

Rojak is a modern Malaysian pop-up restaurant and Satay Bar which popped up 17th October and is situated at Lacy Nook in London, N16 for a limited period for around three months.

I was invited down to sample some of her incredible dishes all which are Malaysian inspired.

Rojak is a pop up to inspire people to eat Malaysian food. Why as the chef behind Rojak loves to cook Malaysian street food and wants to give Londoner’s a mix of ingredients to spice up London’s kaleidoscope of cultures.

Her Malaysian street food and classics have a distinct British twist. With all her time-honoured recipes being elevated to new levels by using the finest local ingredients. Well I did and I am pleased that I did as I got to enter The Ocean of Souls and whilst I was in there I met an old seadog, mermaids, a fortune teller, a doctor,  discovered the Kraken and drank plenty of The Kraken Black Spiced Rum.

Up up and away – Schweppes Flavour Adventure on the London Eye

The other day I went on a journey through time, taste, and gazed upon London capitals spectacular backdrop all whilst sipping on my cocktail or two made using Schweppes.

This popped up event called Schweppes Flavour Adventure popped up at the Coca-Cola London Eye to celebrate London Cocktail Week, which runs from 3 – 7 October.

Lovely Jubbly – Only Fools The (cushty) Dining Experience

It’s the show every British fan has been waiting for Only Fools The (cushty) Dining Experience and it’s brought to you by the people behind the worldwide smash hit Faulty Towers The Dining Experience.

This fully immersive experience Only Fools The (cushty) Dining Experience is a tribute to the BBC’s Only Fools & Horses TV series. The show transports audiences to The Nags Head, to wheel, deal, participate in a quiz and dine on a 3-course meal.

The fun starts from the moment you walk into the Nags Head to play a quiz which Del Boy has been left in charge of. Meanwhile, they try to drum up some cash and try to make a cheeky saving on the side as Del has debts to be paid!

It is a cushty night out with some proper 80’s pub grub, “Lovely Jubbly”.

Chips, chips and more chips – Poutinerie by Air Canada

Poutinerie by Air Canada has popped up again this year but this time at Old Spitafileds Market as they want to give Londoners a taste of what Air Canada offers, and what better way than serving Canadian’s national dish poutine with proceeds going towards Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Last year when they popped up they sold over 2,133 poutine dishes and helped raise £39,000 with proceeds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity whom they are fundraising again for.
