Escape or Die – Breakin Escape Rooms

Myself and other bloggers from Love Pop Ups London community went along to Breakin Escape Rooms the other day to experience one of their many escape rooms. They have various ones from Blackwing’s Cave, Sherlock’s Despair, The Flying Dutchman, War on Horizon Alpha, Butcher’s Lair and Heist Plan. I chose along with others to play Butcher’s Lair for it’s horror factor as we all like horror.

Breakin Escape Rooms Butcher’s Lair

We went along and played Butcher’s Lair which is an escape room based on a fictional serial killer Dr Vladimir Knifesblade. Most certainly an escape room for any horror fan.

Sheep or no sheep? – clueQuest: Revenge of the Sheep

The other day I went along to yes you guessed it by the photo above yet another Escape Room in London and when I thought I’d had my list of top 5 Escape Rooms in my head clueQuest Revenge of the Sheep has had to make me rethink about my top 5 as this one is most certainly now one of them.

I will try and not give too much away but my blog could have some potential spoiler alerts so be warned before reading any further and watch out for the puns.   Continue reading

Let’s save home and country – Escape Plan: The Battle for Britain

Escape Plan is a live escape experience is themed around World War II and I must admit upon entering into the room I felt like I had been transported back to 1945 with all the props and the music/sounds that was playing through the speakers elevating through the whole room. The story is that we are in the depths of August 1940 and the Luftwaffe have launched a resurgent attack on Britain and we are the only survivors in the bombed airbase that we are situated in. Seek, solve, and disarm – Agent November: Rebranded Major X Ploe-Shun

I went along and played Agent November rebranded game Major X Ploe-Shun.  The new story and puzzles are a vast improvement to the original one.  Even though the original one was great this new one has been based on a more modern situation as it would be a disaster for any EMP device to happen which would in turn destroy the connection from all electrical devices such as our phones. How would I live? how would others live without their mobile phones and tech? Continue reading

Immerse yourself into another Land – Escape Land

I went along tonight and had the pleasure to play both games Professor Oxfords Experiments and Da Vincis Exploration at Escape Land in Oxford Street, London. I went along with some of the community of ‘Love Pop Ups London’ to play both games.

Each room you can have up to six players and it is your mission to escape within 60 minutes and to do that you have to fight your way through by solving and cracking many puzzles and mysteries. Escape rooms are most certainly the most best way to have fun with family, friends or colleagues and a great time in team building. Continue reading

Baaarilliant escape room – clueQuest PLAN52

I went along courtesy of clueQuest to play the PLAN52 and I really was highly surprised in how much fun it was. There are quite a few different type rooms you can play at the clueQuest location. We chose to play PLAN52 as this is the first escape room that is recommended to play at clueQuest as this is the first part of an on-going story that carries on throughout all the other escape rooms in which you can play. Who was murdered? – Hint Hunt: JM’s office

I went along to Hint Hunt this game with nine others and we split into two teams and both played identical rooms. We all played the JM’s Office escape room. So the challenge was on in who could escape the room first in the quickest time.

Hint Hunt – JM’s Office

You are locked in the room for 60 minutes and the hunt is on. There is so many objects to look at and open from secret compartments to padlocks with one or two objects being red herrings as well along the way. Continue reading

Clues and more clues – Agent November: Murder Mr E

Murder Mr E takes place in a corner of a pub that is taped off as a crime scene.  We were invited to dine with the renowned detective, Mr E. However unfortunately when me and my team from Love Pop Ups London arrive we discover that Mr E has been murdered.  It is then up to me a newly recruited agent and my other newly recruited agents (my team) to find the killer otherwise we might be next and loose our lives.
Agent November and Love Pop Ups London had to solve the crime of Murder Mr E.
Within the closed off crime scene in which we are only allowed into, we had to solve the crime of who Murdered Mr E from the guests he was hosting a party for within 60 minutes.  All around the crime scene in every nook and cranny literally there are many clues to be discovered and be had and many locked boxes to be decoded and unlocked.  Without giving too much away all I have to say is there is a lot of items to be found and a lot of boxes to open so keep your eyes peeled and seriously look everywhere.  Unfortunately me and the blogger community from Love Pop Ups London even though we thought we cracked the case within the 60 minutes we came to the wrong conclusion so alas we drank the wrong drink and all died of poisoning as we did not find the antidote.
