Kerr’s Gin steam their botanicals

Most gin, if you are a lover of gin you will know that the botanicals are usually boiled but what makes Kerr’s Gin different you ask?, well they steam their botanicals. By steaming it captures more of the subtle aromas and complex flavours, together with the barley base, this creates a gin of distinctive depth and character.

I was given a thank you gift of Kerr’s Gin courtesy of The Borders Distillery for reviewing their Puffing Vodka.

Kerr’s Gin

The Borders Distillery opened back in March 2018 and was the first Scotch Whisky distillery in the Scottish Borders since 1837. They are dedicated to capturing the true spirit of the Borders bringing whisky making back to the region plus vodka and gin.

BRUU tea tantalise your tastebuds

Tea has been around in the UK since the eighteenth century, and an abundance of teas cover our supermarket shelves as tea is the most popular and commonly offered beverage in any home, work place, restaurant, hotel etc. but there is noting quite like BRUU tea.

The most popular tea we drink in the UK is a black tea with a slice of lemon, and sugar. The other popular tea that we consume is English Breakfast tea, which is tea served in a mug with milk and a spoon of sugar, this is also known is also known as a builder’s tea.

In Britain we often enjoy a cuppa along with a sandwich, crumpet, scone, cake or biscuit. A popular British custom is to dunk a biscuit into tea.

As centuries have gone by though so has our tea tastes. We are now not just satisfied with the traditional Black or English Tea anymore but we yearn for variety from green, fruity, spicy and herbal teas.

With such a wide variety of brands and choice on the market it can be hard to know which tea to choose for your early, mid or late night cuppa. Thanks to BRUU tea you can enjoy a variety of high unique quality gourmet teas monthly thanks to their subscription boxes. Within each monthly delivered box tea consumers will get four different teas to brew and enjoy anytime at home, or even out on your travels.

BRUU are gourmet suppliers of black tea, green tea and fruity herbal teas. No matter what you get in your surprise box of tea you will not be disappointed as each are high in quality and provide a tantalising taste, you will be yearning for your next monthly mystery box of tea.

I was gifted a three month subscription to sample at home and now BRUU tea is my all time favourite tea makers as their tea is like no other tea on the market.

BRUU are very different and unique as they produce high quality loose tea and subscription boxes giving you a surprise to the nose and awakening you taste-buds every month with different cuppas of tea.
