Coqbull Soho chicken licken and moolicious food

Coqbull Soho is a restaurant located right in the middle of the vibrant Soho in London who serves free range Norfolk chicken and burgers as well as vegan dishes. They have four floors including a roof top terrace with a fully catered bar making it a perfect place to visit no matter what the weather.

Using free range to me is very important as it means that the animal was free to roam outdoors rather than being confined in cages or enclosures. They also enjoy finer feeds which means that they are healthier.

I love chicken and burgers so to have a restaurant which is dedicated to serving both is great. Also the best thing is that all their meat is sourced from The Butchers Block within London who sources the best free range meat within the UK. They are a third generation family of butchers who are committed to serving the best of British produce as all their meat is free range.

Did you know that eating free range or organic chicken meat is better for you as it generally has a higher proportion of omega-3 fatty acids compared with intensively reared chicken meat, with a similar ratio of omega-6 to omega-3. Eating free range beef is also a plus as instead of the cows being fed grains they feed on grass which is high in key nutrients like omega-3s and vitamin B. So free range beef is much leaner, healthier and tastes a lot better than grain fed beef.

Courtesy of Coqbull I was invited to sample their great tasting free range chicken and burgers.

Coqbull Soho

There is a new chicken and burger joint in town thanks to founder Patrick Frawley.

After having a great success with their two venues based within Ireland, he know brings to London Soho his lively and energetic take on casual dining to town.

Coqbull Soho consists of three exquisite bars spread across four floors with a spacious outside dining area and a one-of-a-kind rooftop terrace with heaters and blankets at the ready.

If you have a date coming up, a group occasion or need to take over an entire floor or the full venue Coqbull is the place.

New Boulevard Theatre becomes Soho’s newest hidden gem

The new Boulevard Theatre in Soho is making quite a scene. Boulevard is a new venue within Walker’s Court which has recently had a £40m redevelopment by SODA Architects.

I was invited down on a complimentary basis to enjoy a meal within their art-deco restaurant and immerse myself within the sounds of their latest production Ghost Quartet which is played within a 360 degrees intimate theatre which seats just 165 theatre goers.

Boulevard Theatre in Soho, Walkers Court

The original Boulevard Theatre used to be owned by porn baron The King of Soho, Paul Raymond. Back in the day the Boulevard Theatre presented various productions, including erotica, stand-up comedy and straight plays. It was most famously known as the home of Peter Richardson’s Comic Strip which launched the careers of many household names such as Adrian Edmondson, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Rik Mayall and Alexei Sayle in the 1980s.

Press night – A Lad in Soho

Simon Gross returns this year with his adult panto humour A Lad in Soho at the Karma Sanctum Hotel.

After a successful run last year of Snow White And The Seven Poofs this year you’ll be able to wish along with Aladdin shouting out such words as “it’s behind you” or perhaps “it’s up your anus” at this is an adult panto after all with a difference.

A Lad in Soho leaflets

I had the pleasure of attending a meet & greet hour to meet the cast and discuss what we might expect from this upcoming adult panto in December.
