Mr Whites delicious steaks and so much more in the heart of the West End

I have been to many steak restaurants within London over the years but I honestly can say that Marco’s newest restaurant Mr Whites within Leicester Square really does serve the most delicious steaks.

For those who don’t know Marco Pierre White he is an acclaimed chef, restaurateur and TV personality.

At the age of 16 Marco started as a commis as he trained to be a chef by Albert Roux and Michel Roux.

During his years as a chef he has trained and teamed up with the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal, Jason Atherton, and so many other known and Michelin star chefs.

At 24 he became Head Chef and joint owner of Harveys. At 33 he became the youngest chef to be awarded three Michelin stars.

He has a number of restaurants across the UK under different brands all which serve different cuisines and a range of experiences from afternoon tea to brunches. Now he brings to London his newest restaurant Mr White’s.

As a fan of Marco’s I was luckily enough to be invited down on a PR basis to review his latest restaurant and I was very impressed. So much so that his restaurant has become one of my favourite restaurants to eat within or even to grab a drink within London.

Mr White’s

Mr White’s is Marco’s newest halal steak restaurant which opened up November 2022. It is based in the heart of the West End in Leicester Square.

Within Mr White’s you can enjoy top quality food within a relaxed atmosphere, from delicious steaks, authentic Italian pizza, refreshing drinks from gins to wines. He even has his own London Dry Gin in which you can enjoy.

The restaurant is ideal for casual lunches, pre-theatre drinks or a relaxed meal with friends, colleagues or family, as Mr. White’s has something for everyone.

The Jones Family Affair has opened in Covent Garden London

The award winning Belgravia steak restaurant The Jones Family Kitchen has now opened up a sister restaurant within Covent Garden called The Jones Family Affair serving up a selection of dishes from vegetarian, seafood, fish, meat and of course steak.

The Jones Family are all about delivering a great dining experience, serving up top quality tasty food which are sourced from The Ginger Pig butchers and the Flying Fish Seafoods, who are very passionate about their products.

I was invited down on a PR basis to try out the delights in which The Jones Family Affair has to offer and show me that they do not just sell steak, in which they are known for.

The Jones Family

The Jones Family is set up by a group of friends who are all passionate about serving hungry diners great food and drink.

They opened up their first restaurant The Jones Family Kitchen back in 2018 within London’s Belgravia which is known for their steaks and have won many awards such as 2021 Travellers Choice Awards by Tripadvisor and back in 2019 they were listed as one of the top ten steakhouses in London.

November 2021 they opened up their sister restaurant within London’s Covent Garden called The Jones Family Affair serving up an array of tasty dishes as well as their famous steaks.

The Jones Family are known for serving up great steaks and that is because they care about the well being of the cow on how it was raised, fed and slaughtered which all results in great tasty meat. They get their beef and other meat from Ginger Pig butchers in which the beef comes from Longhorn cattle who live a very happy life and are grass fed.

Steak and more steak – Bar + Block

This new Bar + Block in Kings Cross which has recently opened joins the other existing Birmingham and Whiteley restaurants.  There is also another new Bar + Block to open soon in Bath.

Bar + Block in Kings Cross

Bar + Block in Kings Cross shares it’s space within Premier Inn.  Upon entering the restaurant entrance you firstly come across a bar area before getting to the reception desk.  The staff are all very friendly and welcoming.  The restaurant area is quite a large open space with a number of lovely wooden tables dotted around and everything is beige/wooden colours making the place very relaxing on the eyes.  I went along with one of my blogger friends Gemma and we sat in one of the comfy booths on the side which had a window looking out into the reception area of Premier Inn. We also could see the chefs open Kitchen area easily from where we was sat.  I love open kitchen areas as I so love watch the chefs cook. We were firstly presented with a bread basket that consisted of several different types of bread which was lovely and very fresh however we did not get a piece of each different style of bread so we had to break in half each piece which was strange I thought.  Plus there was melted butter in the bottom of the cup holding the bread.
