Humanity as we know it has gone! – Omescape saving Huxley

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel forward in time when machines have taken over the world and humanity as we knew it was gone?  Well with Omescape latest virtual reality (VR) game Huxley you can do just that.

With VR becoming more and more popular these days me and some other enthusiastic escape room players from Love Pop Ups London we were super keen in stepping into the year 3007 AD on a complimentary basis to give our feedback.

Are you sceptical about VR escape rooms because you have done static VR games before and never thought much about the quality of realism? Well don’t be as even though I and some others have done static VR games before this walk around one really will surprise you with it’s mind blowing graphics.

With this VR experience you will be experiencing the latest new technology used by Omescape. No longer will you sit in a chair and navigate through virtual space with some hand motions or a controller that feels like you are just playing on your computer console. This one you can manoeuvre and walk around and you’ll even feel as wind is blowing against you really making you feel you are in the situation. Continue reading

Silent Disco time – Madame Tussauds

Ever wanted to get snapped with a celeb you idolise and dance with them?

Well at Madame Tussauds silent disco event you can do just that as they are a wax work museum.  They are situated in Baker Street and have life-size wax replicas of celebrities and historic icons over many themed galleries.

Madame Tussauds

Before I tell you about the time I partied with many celebs and fellow other partiers I will tell you a little more about this unique museum.

Millions and millions of people have flocked through the doors of Madame Tussauds since they first opened over 200 years ago and it remains just as popular as it ever was. There are many reasons for this enduring success, but at the heart of it all is good, old-fashioned curiosity. Continue reading

I became a zombie – London Tombs

I have always dreamt of being a zombie so when the chance to become a zombie for a day at the award winning top horror attraction in the World at The London Bridge Experience & London Tombs came up I just leapt at the opportunity.

Whilst growing up I watched many horror movies with my father from a very young age and so I am a massive fan of horror movies.  Some of my favourite films are 28 Days Later, Nightmare on Elm Street and Child’s Play.

Coffee overload – Black Sheep Coffee

Black Sheep Coffee – Leave the Herd Behind is a chain of coffee shops that sell high quality coffee. One day a group of friends who all loved coffee all decided to Leave The Herd Behind and set up a coffee franchise. They were fed up with the worlds boring average-tasting coffee. They set out to seek only the best unorthodox coffees that have a great story. Thus serving the best unique quality coffee that you can ever get.

Brick by Brick – The Art of the Brick: DC Legends

Bang!, Wallop! Pow!, Kaboom! The Art of the Brick: DC Legends is the most eye striking art exhibition I have ever gone to and it took me back to my childhood years.   Even before upon entering this exhibition the buildings outer walls are all covered with comic story strips and DC Legend characters.

Joker at the cinema

I walked through the entrance and sitting right in front of my eyes is The Joker sitting in a chair with 80’s 3D glasses on and eating popcorn (yellow lego bricks) with a spare chair next to him and a spare pair of glasses well what can I say but I am a kid and I just had to sit next to him, as “I’m Joanne, fun and silly at the same time”.

Behind the Joker was some benches and a small cinema screen which you could sit down and watch some movie shorts that star lego characters. Continue reading

The first sight I came across was a display of bottles of drink all of which have been displayed really nicely with lights shinning on around them.  After signing in at the reception area I then move into the a dark small bar area and was greeted by a lovely bartender.  I chose a cocktail with rhubarb in.
