I love burgers and have tried countless ones but nothing has ever come close to Patty & Bun as their burgers are truly the best.
As a lover of Patty & Bun I was gifted their Patty DIY Kit to cook and enjoy within the comfort of my home.
Patty & Bun
Patty & Bun began as a pop-up originally selling burgers before opening in November 2012 it’s first Patty & Bun in James Street in Marylebone an intimate 30 cover restaurant.
Today, they have a number of sites within London and Brighton and their truck Shirley.
Everyday they strive in creating the best burgers using the freshest and best ingredients. However, more than just simply serving delicious burgers, their aim is to create the most epic experience with great vibes at the heart of everything they do.
Soon after lock-down started with many restaurants closing their doors due to Covid 19, Patty & Bun teamed up with butchers H.G. Walter who provides the meat for their burgers to deliver D.I.Y. Burger Kits so we can still indulge in the great taste of Patty & Bun within the comfort of our own homes.
Great burger taste by Patty & Bun at home
Patty & Bun burger kits come provided with all the ingredients from the patty to their special condiments in which is enough to make two ARI GOLD cheeseburgers and two SMOKEY ROBINSON burgers. Along with an easy step by step instruction card.
The beef patty is produced by Butchers H. G. Walter who are an independent family run butchers which was established back in 1972.
Their brioche burger buns are made by Bread Ahead quality bakers who set up in Borough Market back in September 2013 and supply to a range of local restaurants and delis.
The cheese is by cheese producers Neal’s Yard Dairy whom have been producing cheese for 40 years.
With each burger and the buns being packed in pairs you can easily freeze the other pair for another time.
Building Patty & Bun burgers at home
Following the easy step by step guide in building my own Patty & Bun burgers I ended up being very pleased with my results as well as the taste.
All which was required for each burger was seasoning the patties before frying in a hot frying pan for 4 minutes on each side giving that Patty & Bun pink and juicy burger, the top with a cheese slab before popping under grill to melt, frying the bacon till crisp, toasting the buns then building it.
The Ari Gold
The Ari Gold is Patty & Bun’s signature burger which is a gorgeously juicy burger which is served within a golden brioche bun, topped off with a magical combo of pickled onions and P&B signature smoky mayonnaise topped with cheese and crispy bacon.
Resulting in a delicious, meaty, cheesy joy.
Did you know? that this burger was named after a high maintenance movie industry agent from the TV show Entourage.
The Smokey Robinson
The Smokey Robinson patty is made with a juicy burger patty, crispy smokey bacon, american cheese, lettuce, and combined with P&B signature smoky mayonnaise and caramelised onions.
Juicy, sweet and tantalising.
Patty & Bun Vegan option are also available.

Apart from Patty & Bun alternatively for two weeks only up till 1 July H.G. Walter will be selling their own build your own kit called The Big Daddy which will consist of four burgers, brioche buns, smoky bacon, Provolone cheese slices, truffle mayo and pickled cucumbers.
Be quick though as only 150 burgers of The Big Daddy boxes are available each day for delivery in London within the M25.

I will definitely be getting this again and I really hope even after lock-down it’s something that they will continue with as it’s a great way for me to get my fix of Patty & Bun when not visiting London.

Note: The burger kits can be delivered within the M25. If you’re not home the driver cannot leave with a neighbour, they will try again on the next available day. P&B kits can’t be changed in anyway to suit any dietary requirements. They don’t currently offer gluten free buns. Delivery slots are made available 7 days ahead, if the date you’re after doesn’t appear, it has either already been snapped up or is yet to be made live. Deliveries are not possible on Sundays.
