Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman – DC Exhibition: Dawn of Super Heroes

Atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed get down to DC Exhibition: Dawn of Super Heroes from 23 February 2018 at London’s O2 before it speeds out of the UK.

After following a successful run in Paris, France at the Art Ludique museum in this out of this world exhibition comes to London for seven months.  This exhibition is presented by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros Consumer Products in collaboration with Art Ludique-Le Musee (curator Jean-Jacques Launier).

The exhibition celebrates the rich history, unique mythology and iconic Super Heroes and Super Villains such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and The Joker plus many other characters. Continue reading

Is it a plane, is it a bird, no it’s Joanne – Zip World

Zip World info

Zip World has popped up literally in Archbishop’s Park for a short time from 18 July to 1 October 2017.

If you are looking for a very unique way to see views from London but with a rush of adrenaline then Zip World is for sure the way to go.

I had the pleasure in being one of the first to try out Zip Worlds new zip wire experience.

Firstly and obviously you have to register and sign a waiver then watch a safety video however with the chatting to other riders with the noise around the park I found it quite hard to hear the commentary from coming from the TV.  It was then onto getting the gear on which is not always an easy feat but Zip Worlds was made a lot easier as they had the kit already laid out on the ground making it easier for us all to see where to put your feet/legs through then followed on by further instructions from the instructors.

After getting all kitted up we then walked down to towards the 35m tower (apparently equivalent to 9 buses high).  This was a feat in it’s self especially someone like me who Continue reading

Brick by Brick – The Art of the Brick: DC Legends

Bang!, Wallop! Pow!, Kaboom! The Art of the Brick: DC Legends is the most eye striking art exhibition I have ever gone to and it took me back to my childhood years.   Even before upon entering this exhibition the buildings outer walls are all covered with comic story strips and DC Legend characters.

Joker at the cinema

I walked through the entrance and sitting right in front of my eyes is The Joker sitting in a chair with 80’s 3D glasses on and eating popcorn (yellow lego bricks) with a spare chair next to him and a spare pair of glasses well what can I say but I am a kid and I just had to sit next to him, as “I’m Joanne, fun and silly at the same time”.

Behind the Joker was some benches and a small cinema screen which you could sit down and watch some movie shorts that star lego characters. Continue reading
