Caribbean vibes within Turtle Bay UK in Brixton

Do you sometimes sit back and think I wish I was not in London but in the Caribbean instead? Well within Turtle Bay UK in Brixton you will feel as though you have been transported to the Caribbean as Turtle Bay UK brings you that bit of sunshine with it’s rum based cocktails, Caribbean jerk food and reggae sounds from the resident DJ. Turtle Bay UK is a bit of sunshine within Brixton.

I was invited down to sample their new bottomless brunch menu which I was highly surprised by as was flavoursome and filling.

Turtle Bay UK consists of 43 restaurants across the UK giving those that wants to escape the hustle and bustle of life a Caribbean style escape.

Caribbean cooking is known as a patchwork quilt of colours, textures, and flavours as they are a multi-ethnic tapestry woven from the cuisines of Africa, Europe and Asia.

Jamaica here I come – Three Little Birds

Once you step inside a Three Little Birds restaurant you will feel like that you have been transported to Jamaica with the vibe of the place, music, smell of rum and Jamaican food.

Firstly let me tell you more about Three Little Birds.

April Jackson (former Miss Jamaica Universe, food blogger & The Apprentice 2015 candidate) decided to open up her own Jamaican inspired restaurants.

Three Little Birds was initially a project to celebrate Jamaica’s cuisine, music and talent whilst giving guests the opportunity to escape the concrete jungle and instead journey to the Caribbean.

She opened up her first restaurant and rum bar in Brixton to celebrate her island’s cuisine, music and talent.

Let’s eat and party – Bollywood Brunch

I was invited to attend Bollywood Brunch which is a brunch that revolves around Bollywood culture, food, entertainment and cocktails.  To say the least it was interesting.

Bollywood Brunch

Bollywood Brunch is a company which provides pop up Bollywood style brunches provided along with entertainment which pop up in various restaurants in London.

Each brunch guests get supplied unlimited cocktails for an hour between 12:00pm – 1:00pm, a 3-course Bollywood meal from 12:00pm – 2:30pm, entertainment of drummers, dancers, henna artists along with a DJ who turns things up and gets the party started all the way through to 5:00pm.   Continue reading
